Friday Favorites {4.28.17}

Happy Friday!! This week seemed to drag while I was in, but now that it's Friday, I'm all "where did the week go!?"

Our house has been under construction all week and I am so looking forward to an end in sight. I had no idea so much mess could be made by changing out pipes/water lines/valves/exhaust fans/etc, phew!

Anyway, let's get to some Friday Favorites, shall we?

{ONE} - Giveaway!!

On Tuesday I shared my review of the teeth whitening kit by Smile Brilliant which also includes a giveaway!! Make sure to go here and enter!! $139 towards a teeth whitening kit pretty much pays for itself!!

{TWO} - Starbucks

Maybe it's because I'm just not a fan of Starbucks, but when I saw these I giggled, and still do almost a week later

Speaking of which, did anyone try it? How was it? I heard it was terrible but maybe some people actually liked it?!

{THREE} - Leather Jacket

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted a leather jacket. I've never pulled the trigger well because, I'm so basic that I would probably wear it once a year. That being said, this one has my heart and for that price I think I can justify a once a year wear LOL

{FOUR} - New Recipes

This week some of my favorite bloggers shared some new recipes that I want to try - check them out below!

{FIVE} - Summer Rules

With school ending soon and summer upon us, I think my kids need some sort of rules/structure. My Mom shared this on FB and I really like the concept. Last year I was so good about a set routine but a few weeks into summer and it all fell apart. This summer I want to make sure my kiddos do plenty of school + play time

What I'm reminiscing about:

Well since I have Disney on the brain pretty much every day (planning is in full force!!) I have been thinking back to our trip. It feels like forever ago but it was only 2 years ago. I guess that's a good thing?

Image may contain: 5 people

I also know so many people planning their own trips and I always send them to my past posts I did on planning your trip - if you're interested, you can find them below :)

What I'm loving:

Our nice weather we've been having!! Although, it looks like that is coming to a halt for a little while

What we've been up to:

Currently our house is in shambles, well not completely, but we are having work done on our drainage pipes and other pipes in our walls (don't ask me the details ha ha) and the contractor has ripped out walls in our laundry room, walls in our master bathroom and cut open our ceiling in our family room (that opens up to our master bathroom) - so yeah, it's a bit messy over in these parts lately.

I've been keeping the girls out pretty much all day to stay out of our contractors way so we've had a play date and then done

Oh and Brayden had his first baseball game last week and they played so well!! I'm so excited for baseball season!

What I'm dreading:

I have Brayden's dr appt for his umbilical hernia next week - I am dreading hearing about his surgery

What I'm working on:

Of course I have to mention my Facebook deals group because it's turning into a little part time gig and I couldn't be happier! I am constantly trying to grow it while maintaining posting deals. I am so close to 2K in the group which is my next goal! If you want to join, feel free to here! :)

What I'm excited about:

Ella has her dance recital this weekend and I can't wait to see her cute butt up on stage!!

This is her from last year

What I'm watching/reading:

Currently the hubby and I are watching Narcos - it's pretty crazy!! Anyone else watch it??

What I'm listening to:

Since I got the kids each a new CD for Easter, we've had Moana, Sing & Trolls on repeat in the car

What I'm wearing:

My standard "momiform" which consists of jeans, a tee, and some converse :)

What I'm doing this weekend:

We have Brayden's schools fun fair Friday, Ella has dance recital practice and pics Saturday at the same time Brayden has a baseball game, so we will have to miss that. After all that, we are heading to watch my niece's communion then go celebrate that, and her 8th birthday, and Sunday is Ella's recital! A fun filled weekend for sure!

What I'm looking forward to next month:

More baseball games, my Godson's baptism, Mother's Day and hopefully just spending lots of time outside!!

What else is new:

Getting work done at our house, baseball season starting, my Facebook group growing, nope, I think I about covered mostly everything that is new!

Bonus Question: - Favorite Spring/Summer shoe:

I already answered that above, for me, it's converse definitely in the Spring. For my kids, hands down Natives!!

Teeth Whitening Review with Smile Brilliant

You guys - today I'm here to tell you and show you all about Smile Brilliant. Their teeth whitening system is AMAZING.

Let's back it up a little - I am an avid coffee drinker (like several cups a day) and I love my red wine. Over the years, and more recently, I realized that my teeth were not looking their best. I've tried crest white strips in the past and a couple other whitening products and let me tell you, Smile Brilliant knocked them all out of the park.

With the others, I specifically remember my teeth and gums burning during and after use! I would suffer through the pain because I thought the result was worth it, but even though my teeth did get a little whiter, they never really stayed like that.

With Smile Brilliant, I am happy to say I had no issues of my teeth and gums burning, and that's probably partially due to the fact that they have a desensitizing gel that you use right after the whitening gel.

Ok let's get to the whitening kit and what it's all about:

When you order your kit, the first thing you need to do is make your impressions for your custom trays. These are what you are going to use to put the whitening and desensitizing gels in. It is very simple to make your impressions. The kit comes with 2 pastes that you mix together, place inside a plastic mold and then you bite down to make your impressions. You will do this for your top and bottom teeth. Once they are dry, you send them back to Smile Brilliant so they can create your custom trays!

Once you receive your trays, you're ready to start whitening! For me, I did choose to use to the gels every other day because I felt that if I did it everyday, I may have some irritation. Doing the every other day worked great for me!

Whitening your teeth at home is so easy! If you want, you can watch a video on this affordable teeth whitening review

I hope you give Smile Brilliant a try if you're looking to whiten your teeth at home! And one lucky reader will be able to because Smile Brilliant is giving away $139 towards any teeth whitening kit!!

Weekly Recap {4.24.17}

Happy Monday!! Normally the weekend seems to have flown by but this one didn't, and it was so nice.

But first, here's a look back at our week

We had some nice weather so went to the park and these monkeys all wanted to climb the tree

Avery LOVES her new ukulele that I got her for $7!!  you can find it here if you're interested :)

The kids all love going on the sea saw together. I'm just happy they all still fit, it will be a sad day when that can't happen anymore

We had to run some errands last week but before we hit the stores I took the girls to a park. They had fun playing on different stuff than our park has

When Avery was napping, I let Ella bust out her make up and give me a makeover :) She was in heaven doing this and now wants to make it a daily occurrence :)

Thursday I had Ella's preschool conference and afterwards we went to the library to play for a little (aka visit the drinking fountain every 5 seconds - at least that's Avery's case)

Afterwards I took them for ice cream!!

Avery is loving her new bubbles I got from Gymboree - seriously they have the best bubbles in case you've never tried them!

Friday was speech in the morning then I headed back to school to do Hot Lunch and got to see my little guy!!

Friday night we were all exhausted and I think we were sleeping before 9. Saturday we were up and out the door before 8:30 to go to Brayden's first baseball game of the season!! They played so well, I was so proud!

Later in the day I took Brayden to a birthday party then we stopped home to get the girls. Since Rick was spending the afternoon/night demoing our bathroom, I knew we had to get out of the house.  I took the kids to a park they love and we stayed for 2 hours!!

Then I took them to eat dinner at Burger King. They were only a little crazy so it wasn't so bad :)

I think I was sleeping even earlier Saturday night than Friday night. I was just exhausted! Sunday our contractor showed up at 8am to start all the pipe work. We talked with him then headed out for a fun morning. We first went out to breakfast and I was super bummed because my meal wasn't great - I've had it there before but this time they didn't cook my eggs like at all and they were super runny, which I'm not a fan of. It was still fun, oh besides the moment Avery was choking on bacon fat. Ugh I tell ya, NEVER a dull moment.

Then we took the kids mini golfing!! Brayden was super competitive and playing correct, Ella was loving it but playing totally wrong, and Avery just wanted to do a balancing beam on anything she could.  When we were done we got ice cream and enjoyed the beautiful weather!

After that there was a trip to Home Depot where the kids complained approximately 19734893 times and then finally we were home. Our contractor was still there so the hubs took the bigs over to his parents for a little while Avery napped and I got a work out in. The rest of the day was spent outside because it was so nice!

And now I'm ready to tackle our week! Today looks gorgeous and we have a fun playdate planned.

Friday Favorites {4.21.17}

Happy Friday Friends!

Image result for happy friday

This week seemed to have flown by, but it's OK, because I am so ready for the weekend. We have dance, Brayden's first baseball game, kid birthday parties oh and we're remodeling our master bathroom which involves re-doing our pipes and it's going to be a big giant mess :)

Let's get to my favorites of the week!!

{ONE}

Eeeek I am so excited about the dresses I am having made for the girls for our Disney trip! Since we are having breakfast at Cinderella's Castle with all the princesses, I really wanted my girls to have special dresses. They each chose their characters and I was then on the hunt trying to find someone on Etsy who would make them for a reasonable price. I finally wound up ordering from this shop and things already hit a snag, but the shop owner has been nothing but kind and helpful (no this is not sponsored) - I just wanted to give her shop a shout out because of everything that's gone on and how she has handled it!

Anyway, Avery picked Little Mermaid and Ella picked Beauty & The Beast - here are samples of the fabrics - I cannot wait to see these!! The tops will be a solid coordinating color :)

{TWO}

It's been a while since I've talked about my Facebook Group (haha like a week maybe) - the group has over 1700 people, I'm so close to my next goal of 2000!! If you want to join, you can do so here!

{THREE}

I am loving the cold shoulder trend - this one is 40% off right now and comes in several colors! I think I need it

{FOUR}

Speaking of clothes, did anyone else take advantage of the huge sale Mindy Mae's Market had on Monday?!? Oh my goodness it was a good one! I scored some loungers, another double hood sweatshirt and this floral top - I can't wait to get it all!

{FIVE}

Favorite funnies of the week!

Yep, every day

I just thought this was so cute!
