Back to School with Mabel's Labels!

Back to school time can be stressful for sure, but today I'm sharing something that can help make it a touch easier on you.

Enter Mabel's Labels - Have you heard of them? They made ADORABLE custom labels, stickers and tags for your little ones (or for yourself!)

These labels are so great for organizing your back to school supplies.

We went with the Ultimate Back to School Combo - and Brayden was all about the sunglasses emoji!

Let me tell you, it was so nice to show up to Back to School night with these babies in my hand. It made labeling so easy!!  We labeled all of Brayden's folders, binder, supply case, glue bottles, highlighters and more!

I also labeled his shoes and used the tags to attach to his lunch bag and backpack

Thanks to Mabel's Labels for helping this Mama stay organized this school year! I hope my boy has the best year!

Thank you Mabel's Labels for sponsoring this post

What's Up Wednesday ~ August 2017

*this post contains affiliate links

Happy Last Wednesday of August!! Jeeez, did this month fly by or what!?!

Today I'm linking up with Shay, Sheaffer & Mel for What's Up Wednesday

What we're eating this week:

We had tuna casserole on Monday and since yesterday was a crazy day we had leftovers. On the menu for the rest of the week is pasta/meatballs (the big kids' favorite), enchilada casserole and of course pizza on Friday night!

And since I still have lots of zucchini, we whipped up a batch up these the other day

What I'm reminiscing about:

Well all these old memories keep popping up on FB which give me all the feels! I'm thinking back to the days when Brayden was a baby, when Avery was a baby, and when Ella was a baby! Ella's turning 5 next week and I just can't even believe that!!

What I'm loving:

Being back into a routine feels really good!

What we've been up to:

Baseball games, play dates, spending as much quality time as I can while it's just me and the girls before they start school and the eclipse!

What I'm dreading:

Nothing much besides flying to Disney in a few weeks - I am of course super excited to go to Disney but I really dislike flying

What I'm working on:

I'm always trying to grow my FB group! If you aren't in it yet, you're totally missing out! It's a super fun daily deals group - I would love to have you, you can join here

What I'm excited about:

Our towns annual fest is this weekend! We love going every year, it's such a fun time!

What I'm watching/reading:

Earlier this month I finished Barefoot by Elin Hilderbrand and I couldn't recommend it more. Being a Mom myself had me totally relating to one of the characters and let's just say there were times I was bawling and times I couldn't stop smiling.

I've also been subjecting the hubby to Bachelor in Paradise - it's just so good LOL

What I'm listening to:

The voices of Bachelor in Paradise :)

What I'm wearing:

I'm loving my new jeans and pretty much wear these sandals everyday but of course it's pretty much yoga pants and these tanks

I have these in so many colors and always order them in tall for the extra length - love them!

What I'm doing this weekend:

I mentioned the fest and that's pretty much where we will be all weekend long!

What I'm looking forward to next month:

My sweet gal turning 5! Lots of baseball games for Brayden, the girls are starting dance and preschool too - it's going to be a big month around here!

What else is new:

I have a 2nd grader and well, I'm just not sure how the heck that happened! And both my girls will be in preschool starting next week. It's all happening very quick it seems and has me all over the place with my emotions! Ugh so other than my Mom brain going all over the place, nothing really is new!

Bonus Question: What are your best back to school lunches/tips:

My biggest tip is to get your kid a Bentgo lunchbox - it was life changing for Brayden once I got one. He is not your traditional lunch kid, he doesn't eat pb&j, lunch meat or any kind of sandwich, so having a bunch of different compartments works so well!

See you guys back here tomorrow, I'll be talking about something that helped make back to school a little easier :)

Weekly Recap {8.28.17}

Happy Monday! We had a great weekend and now it's time for another full week-load of school & activities!

Here's a look back at our week

Brayden started school on Monday and my baby is looking SO big!

We enjoyed lots of scooter walks last week, our weather has been a little cooler, and so nice!

We scored some eclipse glasses so we were able to watch on Monday and Ella was all about it! I went and took Brayden out of school in the afternoon so he could see it too!

Tuesday we hung around the house and then ran a couple errands. We had a tea party and Ella did so many puzzles (girl is on a kick!)

Wednesday was another relaxing day playing at home and cleaning - then we headed to the park because it was so nice out!

I laugh because we gave them an entire room as their play room yet they bring their toys and plop down on the kitchen floor :)

After school we made sand bottle art! Ella got the kit a while ago and they've been wanting to do it so I'm glad we finally had time to!

Thursday was library day! Avery's face in the checkers picture cracks me up!

Then we met the hubs at McDonald's for lunch!

Friday morning Brayden was the first one up (which never happens!) and he asked if we could play a game, just me and him. How could I say no to that?!

More errands had to be ran so we had to go to Target for quite a few things but on the way we stopped at a super fun park the kids love

Friday night we had date night with my BIL & SIL - we had sushi then went to an indoor racetrack betting place, we had fun but no one big so that was a bummer!

Saturday morning Brayden had a game, bright and early!  They played so good!

After the game, I ran a few errands then took Brayden to his buddy's birthday party - we got home around 6 and I was ready for bed from being out late and drinking the night before so it was an easy night. Rick had a few buddies coming over for the fight so I put the kids to bed and then relaxed for a while before I headed for bed around 9:30 LOL

Sunday we went out for breakfast then me and Miss A went grocery shopping. We were in the store and accidentally bought something that was the next persons and they made sure to pay for it (only a $1!) so I gave it to Miss A for her piggy but she wanted to drive around like this with it - love this goofy gal!

Later in the day I took all the kids on a bike ride and we wound up at my in laws - they were nice enough to let the bigs stay for a little and I came home and put Avery down.

The rest of the day was spent picking up/organizing and relaxing!

How was your week?
