Weekly Recap {8.28.17}

Happy Monday! We had a great weekend and now it's time for another full week-load of school & activities!

Here's a look back at our week

Brayden started school on Monday and my baby is looking SO big!

We enjoyed lots of scooter walks last week, our weather has been a little cooler, and so nice!

We scored some eclipse glasses so we were able to watch on Monday and Ella was all about it! I went and took Brayden out of school in the afternoon so he could see it too!

Tuesday we hung around the house and then ran a couple errands. We had a tea party and Ella did so many puzzles (girl is on a kick!)

Wednesday was another relaxing day playing at home and cleaning - then we headed to the park because it was so nice out!

I laugh because we gave them an entire room as their play room yet they bring their toys and plop down on the kitchen floor :)

After school we made sand bottle art! Ella got the kit a while ago and they've been wanting to do it so I'm glad we finally had time to!

Thursday was library day! Avery's face in the checkers picture cracks me up!

Then we met the hubs at McDonald's for lunch!

Friday morning Brayden was the first one up (which never happens!) and he asked if we could play a game, just me and him. How could I say no to that?!

More errands had to be ran so we had to go to Target for quite a few things but on the way we stopped at a super fun park the kids love

Friday night we had date night with my BIL & SIL - we had sushi then went to an indoor racetrack betting place, we had fun but no one big so that was a bummer!

Saturday morning Brayden had a game, bright and early!  They played so good!

After the game, I ran a few errands then took Brayden to his buddy's birthday party - we got home around 6 and I was ready for bed from being out late and drinking the night before so it was an easy night. Rick had a few buddies coming over for the fight so I put the kids to bed and then relaxed for a while before I headed for bed around 9:30 LOL

Sunday we went out for breakfast then me and Miss A went grocery shopping. We were in the store and accidentally bought something that was the next persons and they made sure to pay for it (only a $1!) so I gave it to Miss A for her piggy but she wanted to drive around like this with it - love this goofy gal!

Later in the day I took all the kids on a bike ride and we wound up at my in laws - they were nice enough to let the bigs stay for a little and I came home and put Avery down.

The rest of the day was spent picking up/organizing and relaxing!

How was your week?

  1. What a great week and weekend! Your little second-grader is so stinking cute and I love the checkers pictures. I have a picture like that too and it just makes me smile, these little sweeties with the big checkerboard! I hope you have a beautiful Monday you sweet babe!!

  2. The weather has been delightful here too, perfect for outdoor after school and evening play! I am hoping to get a walk in this morning. Always love date nights out and certainly glad your school year is off to a good start. Xoxo ERIN

  3. You guys have so much fun!! :) I have been so busy this summer that I feel like I haven't had time for enough of this. We're going to try and make up for it over the long weekend, at least, but I wish summer wasn't ending just yet!

  4. What a fun week! Glad you could squeeze in a date night too. I love that picture of Avery with the dollar bill. I am glad your kiddos liked the eclipse. I Hope you have a great week ahead!

  5. Love the pics of you guys enjoying the eclipse! Too cute! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  6. You guys always pack so much into your week! After having the kids alone on Saturday it makes me want to be a SAHM even more!! We had so much fun and it was nice to be able to do some things that we rarely get to do. The girls in their eclipse glasses - SO cute! And Avery's face in the checkers picture cracked me up, too. She looks like she's concentrating and trying to figure out what her next move will be. Haha.

  7. My kids have an entire playroom too and yet somehow all their toys always end up downstairs in the living room, kitchen, office, our bedroom...ugh. Haha. I've just about given up. Thankfully, they are starting to phase out toys for the most part so we're down to some Legos and Nerf bullets usually. ;)

  8. What a fun week! I hope Brayden is loving school. XOXO You always have so much fun with your kids!

  9. What a fun week friend. Looks like you slipped back into the back to school routine seamlessly. What did y'all think of the eclipse. There was so much hype leading up to it I thought it was cool... but.... :P.

  10. Brayden does look so big and that picture with the three of them near the rock is so cute! I love the girls tea party and all of the fun things you guys got into. Yay for date night and sushi. Hopefully next time someone will win big! Beautifully Candid

  11. You guys have been busy! Love the back to school pictures... too cute!

  12. The dollar on her head is so cute. Looks like you guys have been busy. I can't believe Brayden is on 2nd grade. It seems like he just started summer!
