Holiday Cards with Shutterfly

I don't know about you, but I love sending out Christmas cards! We didn't start doing this until we had kids and it's something I look forward to every year!

Usually when I am thinking of holiday cards, my brain goes to Shutterfly because I know they are great quality, have lots of designs and always have promos going on.

Just look at these!

I LOVED how colorful this one was!

Before you even start browsing though, Shutterfly makes it SUPER easy to see just how your card would look - they have the feature to upload your photo and it will place it in every card!! How awesome!?!

Usually I choose a card with just 1 photo of us, but this year I tried it out using multiple too..

And I loved that look!! After browsing and browsing I went with traditional colors and I am so happy with it!!

Another thing I took advantage of was adding pictures on the back. This is such a fun touch and a way to show more about your year.  Since this year we went to Disney and that was our big vacation, it only seemed fitting to add lots of pictures of that!

If you are looking for holiday cards or even unique holiday gifts, Shutterfly is a great place to go! To see all their personalized gifts, go here

I absolutely love these latte mugs! You can add any pictures and pick from quite a few sayings - these would make awesome parent/Grandparent gifts!!

Thank you Shutterfly for helping create our beautiful Christmas cards!!

Do you send out holiday cards? Have you gotten started yet?

Thanksgiving Weekend Recap

It's always so hard getting back into the groove after a long time off, isn't it? I know I don't technically get "off" since I'm a SAHM but whenever the kids & hubby are off, we treat it like a mini vaca and my usually routine goes right out the window. It's so nice, but it's also nice to get back to normal.

We had such a fun 5 days! Wednesday the kids and I did some errands and played then Brayden's friend came over. At night we watched Charlie Brown Thanksgiving all snuggled on the couch.

Thursday was Thanksgiving and the morning started with lots of lounging then I managed to work out before we all got ready for my aunts. We had lots of fun and ate way too much! We got home around 8:30 and we all went right to bed.

Friday we were up and heading out to get our tree around 9am. We went to a new tree farm this year and I really liked it! We fell in love with our tree and knew it was the one right away, well most of us did, Rick had to go do a little more of a search but ultimately came back and agreed this was the one.

Friday night we headed to our neighboring towns tree lightning - it was such a nice night and the kids had alot of fun!

Saturday all day was decorating day!! The kids helped for a while and then they were over it, ha ha

Saturday night we went for sushi with friends and while we were there Rick texted his brother and SIL to ask what kind we got last time (we went with them not that long ago to the same place) and it turned out they were eating dinner at Ruth's Chris right next to the restaurant we were at! So when they were done, they came over and had a drink with us - it was a fun surprise!

Sunday my Mom took the kids by her for the day to do Christmas crafts and that was my time to wrap, wrap, wrap!! I wasn't able to finish but I made huge headway and that makes me so happy! I also realized that I have too many gifts for Ella and not enough for the other 2, whoops! Good thing today is Cyber Monday :)

When the kids came home, we headed to the park since our weather was decent, then it was home to relax the rest of the night.

Today I have a few errands to run then we all get to go to Brayden's school to watch/listen to him read his favorite holiday book and share about his favorite tradition. I can't wait!

Hope your Monday is great!

What's Up Wednesday {11.22.17}

Happy Wednesday before Thanksgiving!! I remember the days when we were going on this night and staying out waaaay too late, having too much fun. Nowadays me and Rick agree that staying home is so much better, or maybe we're just getting old? Either way, you won't find me out tonight, instead, I'll be cozied on the couch watching Charlie Browns Thanksgiving then binging Stranger Things season 2

Today is What's Up Wednesday and I'm linking up with Shay, Mel & Sheaffer

What we're eating this week:

Other than my favorite meal of the entire year, we are having some basic dinners over here. Taco night, pasta/meatballs and I made this one pan cheesy chicken broccoli & rice - it was so yum!!

What I'm reminiscing about:

I started watching some videos of our Disney trip and then looked back at all the pics (for the 30th time) - even though it was just over a month ago, I'm reminiscing about it and wanting to get back!

If you're into recaps, you can read ours  here, here  here & here

What I'm loving:

All the cute Christmas decor I'm seeing everywhere we go! I told my Mom & sis that this year I want to really deck the halls and go crazy like those Hallmark movies houses hahaha! Speaking of holiday decor, how cute is this Santa milk jug?!?! It's only $8 too!! There's so many other fun holiday drinkware too!

And if you're in need of a sign, you should totally check out Amanda's shop! Such cute stuff!!

I'm also loving all the awesome Black Friday deals that have already started!!! Like these big, cozy plush blankets from Kohls! They are $7.64 after you use code SAVEBIG15!! That's crazy!!!! There are so many designs to choose from too - I ordered the snowflake but now I want to get more, maybe 1 for each kid and then some as gifts

What we've been up to:

The girls are off school this week but I have conferences for both of them. We are also packing our days with play dates and I took them to the mall yesterday because Ella had been begging to go. Today Brayden is off with us but I've scheduled 2 playdates for him today so he'll be kept occupied :)

What I'm working on:

As always, posting amazing deals to my FB group and trying to grow it! There's actually an awesome giveaway going on that ends tonight so head here if you would like to join & enter!!

What I'm excited about:

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!! Like I said, I literally look forward to eating this meal all  year long! And my cousins brand new baby will be there so I can give her all the snuggles!

What I'm watching/reading:

Watching How to Get Away With Murder (now it's on a break, boo!), Shameless, Stranger Things & Curb Your Enthusiasm when I can stay away while Rick watches it

Reading The Husbands Secret - wanting to finish this soon so I can start Winter Solstice

What I'm listening to:

As I type this, silence, which is almost unheard of around here :)

What I'm wearing:

I live in my baby blardigan pretty much every night! It's so cozy and I'm so happy I splurged on it

Loving my new turtleneck from Nordstrom! (still on sale too!!)

And of course one of my many MMM hoodies!!

And my utility jacket is making its way nicely through my outfits. I plan on wearing it for Thanksgiving tomorrow too

What I'm doing this weekend:

This is probably my favorite weekend of the entire year!! It starts with Thanksgiving on Thursday, Friday morning we are heading out to cut down our tree, Friday night we are going to a neighboring towns tree lighting, Saturday we are full on decorating the house and Saturday night me and Rick get to have a date night!!! Then Sunday we can RELAX! :)

I can't wait to hang our new custom sign from E&M Pallet Designs!!

What I'm looking forward to next month:

Ummmmm, everything CHRISTMAS, DUH!!!!

What else is new:

We just had an appt with a surgeon for Ella's umbilical hernia and I was so happy to hear the news was the same as Brayden - we are just going to monitor and observe it because it's so tiny and he doesn't see surgery as being necessary. I mentioned before that I LOVE this surgeon, I just instantly felt good when I met him. He is older, probably late 60's and I love his flat out information he gives. No BS. I also love when drs tell you what they would do personally, it just makes me feel better. He said if it was his daughter or granddaughter, he would not ever do the surgery. Of course he said it's up to us and part of me only would do it because I am worried if it comes to the point where either kid (or both) do need it down the line, he will be retired. But after talking it over with Rick, we are sitting tight. We do not want our children to undergo the process of being intubated and put out if it's not completely necessary.

So all that to say, no surgery and we are thrilled! We went into that appt really thinking we would be scheduling her surgery for the new year.

That's a wrap for today! I'm not sure if I'll be back Friday with some favorites but either way, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Weekly Recap {11.20.17}

Happy Monday! Here's to a short week ending with Thanksgiving & cutting down our Christmas tree! I cannot believe the time is here for that stuff, but I'm super excited!

The girls are all preschool all week and Brayden has off Wednesday so we have lots of fun planned for our week.

Here's a look back at our week

We had a fun game night on Monday - we played Pie Face, the kids' favorite! I love Avery's face in this pic

I brought Avery to the library while Ella was in preschool. She is finally enjoying the little classes and actually sitting during story time! Hallelujah!

but she still keeps me on my toes - the girls always run to the edge of the walkway after preschool and the parking lot is right there and it's always busy - I always tell Avery to stop at the end and she literally goes to the very edge and then stops - I had to snap a pic to document her little stinker butt!

We made yummy pumpkin muffins and they may have been gone in 2 days

We got to play outside a little

Avery's class had a Thanksgiving feast party and I was the volunteer.  I never realized how much Avery loves baby dolls, but she barely put this one down! Good thing I got her one for Christmas :) She also loves playing with playdoh!

Ella was so happy to finish this puzzle :)

I was also the volunteer at Ella's field trip - she was acting super clingy but we still had lots of fun and I love to see her interact with her little friends.

Saturday it snowed!!! It wasn't sticking but it was the really pretty, big flakes! The kids wanted to get bundled up and head right out!

I started my wrapping while Brayden was at a friends house, Avery napped and Ella was having quiet time.

We went to a pool store later that day to get some information on a pool and the kids kept themselves busy with the free arcade games they had.

.

And Avery also kept busy "pouring" drinks :)

After the pool store we headed to the mall so I could pick up these shoes. I'm obsessed, but they are for Christmas so I can't wear them yet. And yes, those are kid sizes, but I'm lucky that Adidas run big, and I have small feet :)

Sunday I went to a craft fair with my Mom & sis and found some cute stuff, then we headed to my in laws to hang out. Afterwards we went to Home Depot to get some paint for our garage then headed home to relax. It was a nice relaxing weekend after a busy one which was welcomed.
