Day 3 was our MNSSHP day! (Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party) - it's a ticketed event that gets you into Magic Kingdom at 4pm even though the party doesn't technically kick off until 7.
This day was our day to sleep in and we had hopes to swim but the weather thought differently. It was actually chilly this day and total overcast. We had a yummy breakfast then resort hopped around to check out some others. The kids did end up swimming later in the day for a little until it started raining. We then hung out in the room until it was time to get ready.
We lucked out and at party time the weather turned and it became really nice out!
We got into the park and went straight to get our trick or treating bags and snapped a few pics. From there we went on some rides and had dinner at Pecos Bills (so yummy!)
In case you're not familiar with our costumes, we were characters from the show Gravity Falls :)
After we went on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride we saw where Jack Sparrow would be coming out for a meet and greet (he only comes out at the party from what I've heard) - there was only 1 person in line so we hopped in. While waiting Rick and I took turns taking the kids on Aladdin's Magic Carpets and before we knew it, it was time to meet Jack! He was such a fun character to meet! I would have sworn he was the real deal! His mannerisms were completely on point!!
After meeting Jack, we headed off to do some trick or treating - the kids were loving it!! Then we rode some more rides and found a good spot to watch the Hocus Pocus show and the parade (which were both AMAZING!!)
The girls both passed out right before the parade and I was bummed they missed it but oh well. We were going to stay put for the fireworks but the rest of us were really tired so we walked back to our hotel and watched them from the viewing deck. They were the BEST fireworks I've ever seen - pictures won't even do them justice!
The next day was our Hollywood Studio day! We had alot of fun stuff planned for this day so we were all excited!
We got there before the park opened to get in line - our first priority was having Rick go with the bigs to sign them up for Jedi training - it's super popular so you have to get there first thing to sign up. We got the 11:40 time slot and then went about our morning.
While they were off signing up, me and Miss A met Donald! These pictures make my heart so happy!
Next we went and met some Star Wars characters! Me and Rick had to giggle because like I mentioned yesterday, Brayden had been saying how everything in Disney is fake but when Kylo Ren came out to meet us I thought he was going to have an accident LOL! He was definitely intimidated by him (as were all of us!!)
We were given a FP+ for the inconvenience so Rick and Brayden used that go on Tower of Terror!
We also rode the Toy Story ride (so so fun) and watched the Beauty & The Beast Show. Rick took the bigs on another ride and then we met Olaf.
After that, we headed back to the hotel for a swim break. It wasn't the best weather by that point but the kids still swam and had fun!
That night we ate in our room, gave the kids baths and just relaxed. We all got to bed at a decent time which was good because the next morning we had a 7:30 breakfast reservation (which means out the door before 7!)
I'll be back next week to finish off our vacation recap!
Tomorrow is our monthly link up of Girl Chat! This months topic is all about favorite Halloween costumes, I hope you'll link up with us!
Oh my goodness, your costumes!!! Y'all couldn't possibly be any cuter. So much fun Lizzie. I really need to show my girls your photos they would just scream.
ReplyDeleteOh no, that is such a bummer about the Jedi training. All our friends that have been said you have to run back and get those spots, shoot! Looks like you made the most out of your day and all the fun Hollywood Studios has to offer! xoxo ERIN
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness these pics are seriously too dang cute! Looks like it was an absolute blast!
ReplyDeleteThat's so sad that they canceled the jedi training. I'm going to have to meet Olaf next time I'm there! Love him!
ReplyDeleteYou guys got so many great pictures and look like you had so much fun! :)
ReplyDeleteSO much FUN!!! I love looking at other peoples Disney vacation photos =)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I love that you guys dressed up!! That is so cute! I can't wait to start buying matching t-shirts for our family for our trip! EEK!
ReplyDeleteDonald!!! He is one of my faves!! Girl, are you making a photo book of this trip?, such fantastic photos!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got to see Donald! He was the one character we missed while we were there and A still makes us aware of it. Unfortunately he was a little scared of the Star Wars characters but this would be so much fun when they're a little older. Aww Olaf! That was one of the most magical moments! I can't wait to see all the other fun you got into! Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteLove your costumes! That is so cool that Jack Sparrow only comes out during the Halloween party and your family got to meet him! I feel like his character would have a lot of personality!
ReplyDeleteWe have got to get to Disney in the Fall! Oh my word. How fun is Jack Sparrow? Looks like he played the part well!
