Girl Chat {December 2018}

Happy Thursday!! It's the last month of our Girl Chat linkup! It's crazy it's been an entire year, just another way to see how fast time goes.

This month is all about your favorite ornaments - so grab our graphic and link up below!

I have many favorite ornaments (even more than I listed below!)

Brayden & Ella both made this in 4yr old preschool so of course I love  them!

I have a Santa & Rudolph handprint for each of the kids, these are some of my favorite because I love their little hands!

Brayden made this one in 2nd grade, so sweet

This was from our first Disney trip where we had the BEST time

My best friend gave this one to me the year Rick and I got married and I still love it

These wooden shoes are from a cute store in Mi during one of our family vacas

This one is from the cutest store in Anna Maria

The kids and I made these snowman handprints a couple of years ago, I just love cute kid ornaments!

This is from our 2nd family vaca to Disney (I can't wait to get back!!)

And lastly, this one is of my Grandma who passed in 2014. I was very close to her and so was Brayden (Ella was only 2 and only vaguely remembers her, and Avery was only a couple months old when she passed) - it's very sweet every year when we take this out of the box, Brayden always wants to hang it and he always sheds a few tears and we have a special moment where we talk about her and I give him the biggest hug.

I love ornaments so today is going to be fun reading through all the posts!

November 2018 Recap

Hello blog world!! I thought I would pop in and do some catching up of what we've been up to - it's been a while since I've come around these parts :)

We had a pretty good November

Me and Miss A went to some fun library events

We did some crafting at home

We went to tap class

We had our Daisy troop meeting and then we went to our zoo and decorated a Christmas tree with all the troops, it was so much fun!

We celebrated Thanksgiving at my aunt & uncles house and like always, the food was amazing!

We chopped down our Christmas tree, one of my favorite traditions!!

We went to our towns tree lightning with our friends, another favorite tradition!

We decked the halls

I had a fun girls dinner in the city with my oldest friends

Image may contain: 4 people, including Lizzie Simantz, Vicky Sue and Christina Tina Pugger Bee, people smiling, people sitting, table, drink, indoor and outdoor

We got hit with a blizzard and even got a snow day! I had the best time being snowed in with the kids, we played outside, drank hot chocolate, watched a Christmas movie and repeated

We went to the library for gingerbread decorating (yes, in November)

I took the kids sledding after school last Friday, we had a blast!

Holidays with Mixbook

Ahhh it's the most wonderful time of the year, am I right??! We have so many fun festivities coming up and to kick off the month of December, I like to be right on top of sending out my holiday cards - sending them out on December 1st to be exact.

Now don't think I always have my stuff together, there were plenty of years it was well within the month they were sent out, but the past few years, I've been able to stay on top of it, which I enjoy much better.

I love sending and receiving holiday cards, literally when I see them in the mail I get instantly happy. My kids love seeing them displayed throughout our house too - I really hope sending out cards never goes away!

There are so many places to order  your Christmas cards from, but this year I went with Mixbook - I have used Mixbook several times in the past and I know their quality is top notch. They are always running awesome promos too!!

The collection of holiday cards they have to choose from is plentiful!! There is no way you won't find something you love.

I love that they offer the real gold foil option too - it just adds that extra sparkle to your cards!

I also really appreciate all the different filter options. I always know how many pictures I want to use, so choosing that helps eliminate all cards that wouldn't work, which in turn saves me time!

If you  haven't ordered your cards yet, check out Mixbook and their current promo and you will save TONS of money, and have high quality, gorgeous cards this year!

And for fun, here's a little sneak of our card this year!

Just love those 3!!

So, have you ordered from Mixbook before? Where do you get your holiday cards from?
