What's Up Wednesday {3.28.18}

Here we are, the last Wednesday of the month! I feel like March didn't even happen - literally I blinked and we are at the end of it!

Anyway, the last Wednesday of the month means it's time for What's Up Wednesday and I'm linking up with Shay, Mel & Sheaffer!

What we're eating this week:

I actually whipped up a new recipe that was so yummy! It was similar to this recipe, but I swapped the re fried beans for black beans because that's what we had, and it made it a little healthier!

Homemade Chicken Tostadas With Cheese, Lettuce, and Guacamole

Other than that, there will be a lot of eating out this week because it's Spring Break and we're going on a little staycation! I see pizza, burgers, italian, you name it, in our future :)

What I'm reminiscing about:

I keep seeing people's trips to Disney World and it has our last trip on my mind! It was so fun and I just really want to get back there, like now.

What I'm loving:

My new group I started on FB! It's all about sharing outfit inspiration & cute clothes that won't break the bank! Don't get me wrong, I love following those big bloggers who post super cute stuff, but 90% of the time I can't buy what they're sharing. That's kind of what inspired me to start this group! I would love for you to join if you want - you can here - oh and there's a super fun giveaway ending tonight!!

What we've been up to:

Lots of family time which has been great because we are about to get so busy with baseball season starting!!

What I'm dreading:

Well really nothing, except maybe my kids' dental appts. I really hope no one has cavities!!

What I'm working on:

As I mentioned above, my new FB group and of course my other FB group (which is about sharing aaaaaaaaaaaaaalll the deals!!) Other than that, I'm trying to figure out a place for our 10yr anniversary vacation we are taking later this year. It's going to be a family trip and now I am thinking about Sanibel, FL - anyone ever been??

What I'm excited about:

Our little stay-cation in the city!! Chicago is so beautiful and has so much to offer! It's so close and I'm embarrassed we don't go down there more. We are going to play tourists for a few days and I cannot wait!

What I'm watching/reading:

We are watching the new shows on ABC

Roseanne because I totally grew up watching that and I just feel like I have to watch

Anyone watch those last night?

What I'm listening to:

Right now? Silence...ahhhhhhhh. But if I'm in the car, we have a princess CD we rented from the library and it's on repeat - not gonna lie, I kind of love it :)

What I'm wearing:

Lots of MMM double hoods because I love to be cozy. Also my duck boots because there's been some rain. Other than that just my new favorite tees from Target (that I got for $5!!)

Image may contain: 1 person, standing, phone, shoes, selfie and indoor

What I'm doing this weekend:

We are dying Easter eggs Saturday night and Sunday is Easter!

What I'm looking forward to next month:

Brayden is making his Communion and both girls have their dance recital! Oh, and baseball games start for one of Brayden's leagues he's on (he's on 2) so it will be a fun filled month!

What else is new:

I mentioned about a giveaway in my new group - it's for one of the famous MMM double hoods and I'm so excited to gift this to someone! You should totally enter to win here!

Bonus Question - What's your favorite Easter tradition:

I love dying the eggs with the kids! It's so much fun (and really messy) but I love seeing how excited they get!

Phew that was alot! I'm off to enjoy the beautiful day we are going to have today - it's suppose to  hit 60!!

Weekly Recap {3.26.18}

Happy Monday!! I am extra happy today since we are on SPRING BREAK BABY! Not like we are going anywhere (except our own city, ha ha) but I am still very excited about a break from packing lunches, waking the kids up when they don't want to be and dragging them to get ready, and just the day to day stuff - I am totally treating this week like I'm on Spring Break too šŸ‘Œ

Before I recap our week, I wanted to mention an awesome giveaway going on in my new FB group - it's pretty awesome so make sure you go check it out and enter!!! You can find the details here . I am really excited about this new group so thank you in advance for helping it grow!!

Ok, let's see what we were up to last week, it was pretty low key actually

The girls spent lots of time painting with water and I was happy there was minimal mess

Tuesday Brayden was off school but Avery still had preschool. We dropped her off and ran some errands then went to the library in the afternoon. Brayden was pretty happy to join us!!

We had a Trader Joe's trip and the girls got suckers!

Ella's bestie came over for a playdate and the girls wanted to be in the sandbox

I had to run to the mall one day to return something and Avery ran right to these fushia pumps, girlfriend cracks me up! She is such a tomboy and so girly-girl at the same time!

Ella got a new Barbie so the girls spent time doing her hair and checking her out in the mirror

More sandbox time with new Barbie

Friday Ella went by her friends house and I cleaned and did laundry. It was nice to have a little break since Avery napped while I did this.

We went out to dinner with friends Friday night and had so much fun! Of course, no pics though. Saturday I went wedding dress shopping during the day with my cousin and she said YES to the dress!! She is going to look stunning!!

A Day in the Life

If you're anything like me, you'll enjoy today's post! These are my favorite type of posts, and I know one day I'll look back at our typical day and know they were the absolute best days.

Anyway, I chose Tuesday 3/13/18 to document - it went something like this

5:40am - wake up, roll out of bed, bathroom and get workout clothes on

5:50-6:20am - work out - it's so hard to do it first thing but I just don't have time later in the day and I can't bring myself to workout at night

6:20-7:25am - Make coffee and work on my FB group, posting deals - I love this quiet time

7:25-7:40am - Get the kids up, tell them to get ready  (I still help Avery a little with brushing her teeth)

7:45-8:20am - breakfast for the kids which is easy today with cereal and fruit. I eat a homemade bagel and a cutie, then I unload the dishwasher.

8:25am - walk Brayden to the bus stop - I love that he still gives me a hug and a kiss and screams " I LOVE YOU" as he gets on - I know these days are probably going to end soon šŸ˜¢

8:27-8:45am - get ready super quick (I shower at night so today was just a quick run through my hair with my curling wand and a little makeup

9:00am - drop Avery at preschool

9:15-9:45am - Ella has Speech at Brayden's school. I always hope we'll see him but we never do

9:45-11:30am - Ella and I run errands. We go to Old Navy, the Rack, DSW and stop in a local painting place to check it out for a future visit

11:30am - pick Avery up from preschool

12-1pm - make the girls lunch, make myself lunch, load the dishwasher and clean up the kitchen

(one of my favorite lunches - pita crackers from Trader Joes, and a mix of avacado/tomatoes/feta with a little olive oil)

1-3pm - we go to the library for the fun STEM class. The teacher reads some fun St. Patricks books then it's on to the activities and a snack. On the way to the library it was snowing and the girls enjoyed catching some flakes

3:10-3:30 - Get Brayden from the bus stop, make him a snack and help him with homework if needed

3:30-4:15 - I let the kids have down time, I do some more cleaning up and work on blogging/FB group

4:15-4:45 - We drive Brayden to religious education

4:45-5 - I prep dinner, which was super easy this night.

5-5:20 - Play with the girls a little while dinner cooks

5:45-6:40 - Rick comes home with Brayden, we all eat dinner, then clean it all up

6:40-7:30 - We spend some time playing together and the kids are having a blast with the magnatiles. We had so much fun creating new things. Avery wanted to bust out the play doh. Brayden also took his cuts in the garage

7:45-8:30 - Start bedtime. The kids are still showering/bathing every other night and tonight was an off night. We read each of them a book (or several) and I lay with each of them for a few minutes.

(forgot to get a pic with Brayden, whoops)

8:30-9:45 - Hang out on the couch with Rick, watch some shows, read some blogs, work on my FB group and browse the internet. I have a hard time just sitting and watching tv :)

9:45 - 10:15 - Get ready for bed, wash face, brush teeth and watch a few minutes of E! News before I fall asleep

And there you have it, our not so special, ordinary, but fun day!
