Traverse City 2017 Recap - Part 2

We woke up Tuesday on vacation to Avery's birthday!! We sang to her in the morning then got a move on to go see the Sleeping Bear Dunes.  We chose to drive the scenic route and stop at the popular stops vs. hiking the dunes (that wouldn't work very well with 8 small children) but I hope one day to get back and hike them!

The views were spectacular!! The water was so teal you wouldn't believe it was Lake Michigan!

The two 3 year olds :)

After the dunes, we headed back to Traverse City and hit up The Filling Station for lunch. Thanks to my girl Marie for recommending it!! It was delish, however, we didn't realize how big the flatbreads were and we each ordered our own, needless to say we had lots of leftovers! But they didn't go to waste, that's for sure!

We walked to the towns toy store to get Miss A a birthday gift, stopped in a couple more stores then we headed back to the house.

Ella found her store :)

We made our way out on the boat again and there was more fishing done. Brayden & Ella both caught fish and were so happy!!

I just love cute Brayden looked when he would get ready to go fishing

My SIL and I bought a bunch of those rubber ducks and did a duck hunt for the kids with them. We threw them all in the water and they had to get as many as they could. I was laughing so hard because Brayden was sticking them down his shorts!

That night we had dinner and had another cake for Miss A's birthday. We spent the night relaxing again (it was so nice to get so much relaxing in!!)

The next day the girls had a wine tour scheduled so we got picked up at 11 and were off.  We went up the Leelanau peninsula and stopped at 3 wineries and 1 distillery. We had a blast!!

Later that night we did the pinata my sister and brother in law got for Avery's birthday. The kids had a blast whacking it and grabbing all the candy!

The next day the boys had their day. They went golfing then headed into town to hit up some breweries. The rest of us went up to this adorable town we saw the day earlier on our wine tour and did some shopping and lunching.

The rest of Thursday was pretty cruddy - it rained the entire afternoon into the evening which brought for some wild & crazy kids being cooped up! We played some board games, watched some movies and then once the kids were sleeping, the adults enjoyed our last night.

Friday morning was my nieces 1st birthday so we celebrated with ice cream cake for breakfast!! The kids were SO happy about that! Can you believe we celebrated 3 birthdays on this trip!?!

And that's a wrap!! We packed the cars and headed the long drive home. We had the best week and made some pretty amazing memories! Until next year :)
