Weekly Recap - Spring Break 2017 Edition

Happy Monday friends!! Phew what a week we had! I'm kind of glad to see Monday and get back into our routine.

Here's a look back at our week - the weather was crap but we still made the most of it!

Monday -

I took the kids to the library for a magic show and it was awesome!! It held Brayden & Ella's interest so much but Miss A just wanted to keep leaving the room to get a sip of water from the water fountain (even though I had a water for her, ugh toddlers!) When the show was over the bigs immediately wanted to go look for books on magic so we could practice at home - they are so cute sometimes!

We then met the hubs at McDonalds for the lunch which the kids loved

Oh! totally forgot that when I woke up in the morning I had a message on FB that I won 2 tickets to Medieval Times because I shared their post - only thing was I had to use them that night at the 7:45 show. I immediately thought I would bring Brayden of course because I knew he had been wanting to go, but then Rick thought Ella should come too (I thought she was a little too young, turns out not!) And then we invited my Mom to come with too since she had never been. So our fun free little night turned into much more but it's ok, because the kids had a freaking blast! Except for when the main food came out, I was literally crying laughing at Brayden who was thoroughly disgusted by his half chicken that came out on his plate!!

We didn't get home until 10:30 and to say I was exhausted would be an understatement!

Tuesday -

We had plans this day to hang out with my Mom and nephew because my Mom was babysitting. We met up at Dunkin Donuts for the kids to get a sugar fix while the adults fueled up on caffeine. Then we headed to our towns nature center and it turned out that the new park they were building was open to play at! Originally we were told it wouldn't open until 4/22 but I guess they are letting people play on it early. They still have to add the water to the streams once it gets nice. The kids loved playing and I almost had a heart attack 100 times because of daredevil Avery!

After we played outside, we headed inside to check out some stuff. Then we headed to the other side of the nature center where there is a farm.

I can't believe how brave Avery was to go up to the horse!

Wednesday -

This day I originally had planned to take the kids to this awesome play area a few towns away but once I heard how insane it is over school breaks, I decided against it. If it was just Brayden & Ella maybe, but with Miss A and how crazy she is, I opted to skip.  Good thing the library was having another fun event going on, so we headed there. My Mom came too since she had never been to this towns library.

We played a little before the show started and the kids were having so much fun! Brayden even ran into one of his baseball buddies.

The juggling show was awesome!! Again, Brayden & Ella were so into it but Miss A was more interested in anything but. Thankfully my Mom was there to help contain hold her for a while :)

We took the kids to lunch and headed home for naps/quiet time!

Thursday -

In the morning I finally cleaned our messy house! I did some laundry, cleaned the bathrooms and washed the floors. My gosh it was so needed! Then we headed out to my sister in law & brother in laws house so the cousins could hang.  We hung out for a little then headed to a fun new bowling alley/arcade place by them. The kids were really well behaved and had so much fun

Friday -

This was our stay home all morning and do art day - and that's just what we did.  The kids crafted/painted/colored for a long time and it was so nice to not be anywhere.  We did get invited last minute to a jumpy place for a playdate with Brayden's school friend and of course I said yes - so after lunch we skipped Avery's nap and all went there. The kids jumped for hours and then we headed home and I officially clocked out of Mom duty and poured myself a nice big glass of wine!  We had our pizza/movie night and I think I was sleeping by 9 :)

Saturday -

I took Ella to dance in the morning then we ran some errands. Later I went to lunch with my friends and it was so good to get out for a few hours!! I came home and we all went on a walk to the park and let the kids run wild for a while.  We came home and had dinner and just relaxed the rest of the night

Sunday -

This was a total chill day - we got some things done around the house we've been putting off -  I did some cleaning and we went over to my in laws to hang out. The cousins all had a blast together!

I didn't get to do everything we had planned - aka make our fairy garden (although I have everything to do it) I'm hoping this weekend if it's nice out, we can do that. All in all, it was a good Spring Break and no one killed each other :)

  4. You definitely deserve that shirt! I'm sure spring break is something else. It looks like the kids had a great time though and your library does some awesome programs. We have a medieval times near us too and took A when he was really little. That's awesome you won the tickets!! I'm looking forward to bringing both of the boys. Haha, I'm sure A would be the same way Brayden was with the chicken. Beautifully Candid
