Weekly Recap {2.13.17}

What a great week/weekend we had - it sure was nice to be able to get out of the house!

Here's what we were up to

We have lots of fun with play doh - the girls love playing with this stuff and we had tons of fresh stuff to use from Christmas

We got to take a walk and go to the park which was so nice! This winter has been so crazy with the weather but we'll take it!

Me and Miss A played the Pop up Pirate game several times while big sis was at school.

Max got a fresh new cut and we all agreed it's the best he's looked in a long time!

Brayden got one of those little beanie babie things for Christmas, his is Buddy from The Secret Life of Pets. He is obsessed with that little guy so one night he told me that Buddy's birthday was in a couple days and he wanted to make him a bed as a present, so that's what we did.

Wednesday we hit up the library and the girls had a blast as always

After school the bigs had dentist appts and I was so proud of Ella for actually sitting and getting a cleaning. Last time she went they couldn't get her to open her mouth so this was her official first visit.

That night was Buddy's birthday! We gave him one of Max's bones with some frosting on top with a candle and sang to him, it was pretty cute and I can't wait to show Brayden the video of this one day, I know we will all get a good laugh!!

We had fun with puzzles and once Miss A was done, she would jump up and down on them, I'm assuming because she was proud of herself :)

Later we had lots of fun with dot markers. I always just put a couple long pieces of giant paper over our table and let them go at it

Friday while Ella was in her speech lesson, we hung in the hall and played with Ella's lego travel box. It came in very handy!

Later I headed back to school to volunteer for Hot Lunch and when we were done I got to see Brayden again when his class was getting something out of the treasure chest in the hall. I love seeing my boy at school!

At night we headed back to Brayden's school to watch a movie in the gym. It was a pretty fun set up, you could bring chairs, blankets, food, drinks etc and the PTA had free water, popcorn and cookies. It's always so fun seeing Brayden hang out with his school friends. Rick stayed home with Miss A since we would have just been chasing her around the entire time

Saturday morning Ella had dance and we got to sit in and watch since it was a visiting day, she was so cute!

Then at night it was time for the Daddy/Daughter dance!! This was Ella's first one and to say she was excited would be an understatement! I'm not going to talk much about it since I plan on dedicating an entire post to it :)

Can you believe I found her gorgeous dress on Amazon for less than $14!!?

Oh and we also started potty training Miss A over the weekend - it's been going so so. She gets it some times and others there is pee and sometimes poop everywhere. I have to say there are less accidents vs success so I'm thinking we are heading in the right direction

While Ella was at the dance, my friend and her son came over to hang out (her daughter also went to the dance and is Ella's bestie) So the boys hung out pretty much in the basement the whole night while we stayed upstairs asking Avery if she had to go potty every 10 seconds

Sunday was my sister in laws sprinkle and it was at this restaurant with an awesome brunch buffet. I totally had a cheat day and it was amazing. She got some awesome gifts too!

I got to bust out my new jeans and they are soooo comfy!

And the rest of the day was relaxing, playing outside, making Valentines for the kids' teachers and more relaxing. Hope everyone has a great Monday!

  6. What a fun week! Max looks so handsome! Leonidas needs a haircut too! Great idea to put the giant paper across the table and let the kids go to town. We have some paper like that, but I always just cut it. My genius self never thought to put it on the table, haha. That movie night in the gym sounds like so much fun! And Ella at dance class is beyond adorable!

Although, little nugget got curious the other day and of course some made its way into his mouth lol. Max is so cute and I have to agree, he does look good. That little tongue, haha. 10. Max looks so great with his hair cut. Maui needs one DESPERATELY. She looks just awful right now and I know that our veteranarian thinks that we neglect her. Haha.

Good luck potty training Avery! Ugh, I'm so glad that we're finally past that! I have nightmares just thinking about Jacob's potty training days! Haha.
