Ella's First Daddy/Daughter Dance

This was the sweetest thing so of course it deserves to be documented! A few weeks ago my friend texted me a picture of the flyer for our towns Daddy/Daughter dance. It's for ages 4-12 so this year our girls could go! The Dads jumped on board and the girls were so excited!

Leading up to the dance Ella was telling me all about the dress she wanted - at first she wanted to wear a Belle dress and have Rick dress like the Beast, but she nixed that idea shortly after. (that would have been so cute though!) We looked online at some dresses and wouldn't you know, the one she loved was from Amazon!

I curled her hair and let her wear some make up - thankfully I was there to manage otherwise she would have looked like a clown :)

The night of the dance the hubs had a corsage for her. She had no idea and when he came in with it she squealed with delight!

I should add here that Miss A was super upset she was not going with to the dance. She kept pouting and crying while Ella was taking pictures with Rick. It was so sad and cute at the same time!

We took some pictures and then her bestie Ava and her Daddy came over for more pics. The girls were so excited!! They all drove together to the dance.

 When they got home the hubs told me how awesome the dance was. He was surprised at how well it was put on given it was the park district.  They had an awesome full spread dinner, there was a DJ there playing all the fun songs, arts & crafts and games. Rick took a cute video of him and Ella dancing and I swear my heart melted into a puddle when I watched it.

I know this will now become an annual thing and the day when Rick takes both our girls will be that much more special!
