Weekend Recap - 4th of July Edition

Happy Wednesday!! I'm finally back to my little space to recap our fun filled holiday weekend!! Since Rick had Monday off before the holiday we had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves and now I'm ready to get back into some sort of a routine and not eat like garbage and indulge in lots of drinks - although it was nice while it lasted!

Saturday we were invited to our friends new house for an adults only BBQ - they have a little girl but wanted everyone to enjoy themselves so they said no kids, fair enough and once we had a sitter secured, we were all about it! We ended up having so much fun and we ubered home (a little later than we originally planned!) so Sunday we were moving a little slow.

Sunday afternoon we headed to my aunt and uncles for another BBQ. We ate, drank and swam and had a super fun time!

My cousin had this fun mini beer pong game and the littles wanted to play so we added water and they went at it. Brayden has a strong future in this game LOL

Monday was another relaxing morning, I cleaned the entire house because I knew people would be over later. I was thankful the hubs kept the kids busy so I could actually clean in peace!

We went to my in laws in the afternoon for their party. More eating, drinking, swimming went on there and we went home around 7 to get set up for our backyard fireworks party. We invited everyone from my in laws party over and some of our friends and there was an awesome turnout!! Rick and our buddy go in on fireworks together and they put on an amazing show! I must admit, at first I was so against this just because I grew up going to see fireworks but really, there is nothing better than your own private show and since our yard is so big it's the perfect spot. Oh and our neighbors don't care at all, our entire neighborhood lights up all weekend long!

Tuesday I was moving a little slow again - Rick got up super early to golf and when he got home we headed to a fun water park with the kids. I felt like we really need some quality time just the 5 of us. Even though we spent all weekend together, it wasn't the same as being alone together since being at parties means everyone is running around playing/talking or whatever.  We all had so much fun at the waterpark and the big kids surprised the heck out of me with the water slides they were going down!! I was super nervous but I did them all too (I mean how could I not when my 6 and 4 year old were!!) We left after a few hours to come home and relax.  We ended the night back at my in laws for dinner and more hot (cold) tubbing for the kids.
