Thursday Thoughts

Well our winter wonderland is pretty much gone and I hope that means that Spring is right around our corner!

Here's a bunch of randomness going on my head lately

//I am soooo happy that I feel so much better after my surgery, finally! I still cannot believe how much pain I was in for that first 4-5 days. At my follow up on Monday I asked why there was so much pain when they made it seem like it was such an easy surgery and the dr's exact response was "Oh yeah, it's because of the tacts we used to attached the mesh, it feels like gun shot wounds and is very painful" Ummm yeah, maybe there's a reason they don't tell you that beforehand! I still have the no lifting restriction for a few more weeks which I am going to follow so I can hopefully prevent another hernia from happening

//I really want to go on a vacation like now and it's just not going to happen. I'm hoping we can squeeze a weekend away somewhere as a family before our first real vacation of the year, which isn't until July.

//Rick has been so amazing while I've been recovering, but his cleaning game could be stepped up. Does he not see that the carpet needs to be vacuumed and the floors need to be cleaned? I guess I'll just take what I can get.

//I'm getting so excited that baseball is starting up for Brayden! This year Rick is his head coach and I know it's going to be a great season.

//Since I haven't been able to work out, my mentality is basically to eat all the things. Now I can't tell if I'm just still bloated or getting fat. Really hoping it's the former one!

//I'm so excited to eat corned beef Friday night, even though we just had it at my in laws last weekend. I love corned beef and give myself a break this time of year to eat as much of it as I want.

  1. Eat all the things, lol. I have been there lately and I have no excuse :/. Yesterday was my first day of healthy eating in WEEKS! It's the little things. So, now you know what it feels like to have a gunshot wound. But you never though you'd be able to say that.

  2. I feel your pain! I had hernia surgery about 4 months ago, and I couldn't even stand up straight for 2 weeks. That mess is no joke! The nurse told me if I can get through that it makes having a baby seem like a breeze. Lol. Not sure if I believe that or not. :)

  5. I am sad I won't get to eat corned beef and cabbage, but Mexican food will do! They compared it to a gunshot wound. Dang. I love hearing that now after having two of them. Yes please follow the lifting restriction rules. It is hard, but worth it.
