Weekly Recap {3.20.17}

Happy last week before Spring Break!! While we aren't going away anywhere, I'm just looking forward to spending time with my kiddos having as much fun as we can.

Here's a look back at our week

We woke up to snow on Monday! This boy was excited to bring his snowpants to school :)

Of course he came home and right after his homework headed out to play. This boy loves playing in the snow, just like his Mama!

I had some one on one time with this girl while Miss A napped and we built a castle for her little Spangled beanie baby

Wednesday we met up with some friends at the library for story & craft time. The kids had a blast (and Miss A pretty much didn't sit still the entire time LOL) and when we were done we all went out to lunch. It was the first time we've really went out since my surgery and it felt great!

My mom stopped over for a little after work on Wednesday to play with the kids in the snow before it melted. They made this little snowman and then demolished him 2 seconds later :)

Being funny with my glasses before school

The hubs has been working with Brayden on his stance and swing in the garage since it was still cold out. He is looking so good!!

Thursday night we got to sneak away for an impromptu date night - it's always nice when I get alone time with my guy (even if he was glued to the TV for March Madness LOL)

Friday we met up with more friends at the bowling alley. They had cookie decorating going on for St. Patricks Day and I'm pretty sure Avery made her way over to that table no less than 20 times.

Friday night was spent eating corned beef and watching Moana with the kids. I hadn't seen it since Thanksgiving and it was even better than I remember.

Saturday we spent some time doing crafts and just hung out all day

Saturday night the girls wanted to hang out on the pull out couch bed in the play room and watch a movie. That lasted about 20 minutes before they started getting crazy then we put them all to bed. I stayed up late watching Schitts Creek on Netflix and omg if you haven't seen it yet, watch it! Sooooooo flippin funny!

Sunday we headed to the movies in the morning but not to see the popular Beauty & the Beast. I don't think Miss A is ready for that yet so we saw The Wild Life which has been out for a while but they were replaying it. We just wanted to get out and do something with the kids

Later in the day I ran out by myself to try and find a metal organizer similar to this - and it was no luck. I'm looking for such a specific size it's going to be so hard to find.

While I was out I tried some on clothes and fell in love with this off the shoulder top. I can't wait to wear it :) It's much more vibrant than the pic shows, just fyi :)

After nap time we walked over to my in laws house - can you see Brayden all the way up there?? Apparently when you are 6 you don't want to walk with your parents *sigh*

Rick put his hat on Avery on the walk home and this is what she did - that kid, always cracking us up :)

Now the kids are in bed and I'm catching up on Big Little Lies. I love Sunday nights until I realize the next day is Monday, ha!

  6. I can’t even fathom all of that snow. We didn’t get much of a winter here at all. I hate to say that because it’s Texas and winter may greet us tomorrow for all that I know! It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve gone from 89 degrees to ice or snow the next! Anyhow, snow pictures are just the best! Yay for date night! Those are always so refreshing as parents. That floral top looks amazing on you, friend!

  7. That off the shoulder top looks so great on you, girl!! It's soooo pretty! And for that metal organizer check Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I got one almost identical to that one at Marshall's about 6 months ago and I adore it. Try Hobby Lobby, too!
