Girl Chat {May}

I cannot believe we are already at May's Girl Chat linkup! Time is flyyyyying. This month is a good one for all you nosy people out there (don't worry, I'm in that category as well😜) - we're sharing A Day in the Life - and here's mine!

I documented this past Tuesday, May 15th,

6:00am - Wake up, bathroom, change into workout clothes and head to the basement to workout. Today was a video day which meant I did a total body workout with weights (every other day I run) - I'm not gonna lie, it was hard for me to get up because I went to bed really late, and I even let myself sleep in!

6:45am - Make coffee, have breakfast and work on my FB groups

7:30am - Make sure all the kids are up, help Avery with brushing her teeth and tell Ella for the 20th time to get out of bed

7:45am - Kids are eating breakfast, everyone something different (awesome)

8:25am - Take Brayden to the bus stop and give him a big hug & kiss!

8:30-8:45am - I quickly get myself ready (literally brush my teeth & hair and put on minimal makeup) and then head out the door to take Avery to preschool - the girls each get to hit the button to open the doors on their school days, so today was Averys turn!

9:15-9:45am - I take Ella to speech which is actually at Brayden's school

10:00-11:00am - Go to Target to pick up some end of year teacher gifts, a birthday gift for my nephew and of course browse the many items I shouldn't buy

11:30am - Avery gets out of school and we play at the park for a little until poor Avery got hurt, so we had to leave

12:30-2:30pm - We all eat lunch then head outside for playtime for the girls and planting for me.

2:30-3:00pm - Fold & put away laundry that was done 2 days ago (while watching Teen Mom LOL)

3:10-4:00pm- Brayden gets home, I get all the kids a snack then pick up the kitchen

4:00-5:00pm- Brayden's friend comes over to play and I hang out with the girls

5:00-:6:00pm - Make dinner & eat - it's Taco Tuesday so 2/3 kids eat very well!!

6:00-7:30pm - Clean up dinner, run the dishwasher, go on a family bike ride (even the dog comes with)

7:30-8:15pm - Bedtime (it's a no bath/shower night so it's pretty easy)

8:15-10:00pm - I shower, then me and Rick hang out and watch some shows then it's time for bed!

And that's what a typical day looks like! Although now that it's summer and Brayden has weeknight baseball games our bedtimes will be pushed back but that's the fun of summer, right?!?!

I can't wait to take a peak into everyone's day, these are my favorite posts!!!

  1. Day in the life posts are my favorite to read! I'm so impressed that you exercise that early. I just can't do it. Lunchtime is more my jam!

  2. WE documented the same day and had the same thing for dinner. Great minds think alike :) I love that you workout in the morning, total goals right there! Sierra Beautifully Candid

  3. Taco night is the same for us. One eats pretty well and the other is picky. Love looking into your life. I hope Avery is ok. Thanks for sharing!

  4. I had to crack up at your (awesome) comments on all your kids eating different breakfasts. I am sure that is reallll fun! Love the planting you did - your flowers look so pretty!

  5. Ooooh send me some of those green thumb vibes! Everything looks so lush and pretty!! I wish our yard looked that good.

  6. I need to start working out in the morning, but I'm having trouble mentally wrapping my head around losing that sleep. I'd have to get up at like 5 or 530 in order to make it work for my morning which is just early! Especially now that baby is waking up at 620/30 every morning instead of being woken up at 7 for daycare. Ahhhh!

  7. That's awesome that the dog gets to ride in the bike trailer! What did you get your teachers? I need to get on that!

  8. This was so fun to read. I love reading all of the moms posting about their day- I don't know y'all do it all with blogging, kid activities, running the homes, etc. So impressive. I love how your girls take turning "pressing the button!" that was super cute. Your garden looks beautiful! Love all the spring colors! - Shannon

  9. Something tells me it took so breakdowns to get to the point where the girls get to press the button based on their school day. lol. I can honestly tell you that my brother and I were very much like that when we were your daughters ages and fortunately my mom would handle it with grace and let each of us press the button and then move on. My mom actually mentioned that if she would have fought it the more the likelihood of a melt down. Do you think that once both the girls are in school full time you will have more time for yourself or will you just find more things to get done during the day? :)
