Weekly Recap {4.16.18}

Happy Monday! I know the weather is all anyone is talking about lately and I get it, it's just crazy! We are suppose to get some snow again today (flurries I'm sure) and it's just down right cold. But by the weekend we should be in the 50's which will be welcomed!

Our week was fun and uneventful

Monday was our errand running day and meal prepping - I had the cutest little bagel maker helper!

Tuesday was speech for Ella and hanging out at home - we made some flower paper plate crafts that turned out super cute

Tuesday after school is when Brayden had his 1st round of battle of the books competition - we were SO proud of him and his team for winning!! The finals is next week!!

Wednesday I ran out by myself while my Mom stayed with Miss A then I picked Ella up from school and we went and bought the girls' dance recital tickets. Later in the day I took everyone out for a wagon walk :)

Thursday I had Avery's preschool conference first thing then us gals headed for the zoo! I knew it was the nicest looking day we would have so the zoo was a great place to spend it. We had so much fun walking/talking and checking out the animals. Ella told me before we went she was sad she didn't have a favorite animal at the zoo so when we were heading home, she told me now her favorite is the little black monkeys (spider) and I agree, those are adorable!!

These are the best smiles I got LOL

Friday Ella went by her friends house for a playdate and I had to clean, clean clean. Me and Miss A played a little then we ran out quickly and got back home to meet Ella shortly after.

Friday night Brayden was suppose to have a baseball game but it got cancelled because of the weather. We hung out at home and Rick went out with his buddies after putting the kids down. I stayed up too late by myself watching creepy shows on the ID channel and then was scared to go to sleep LOL

Saturday the boys headed out early for baseball practice and us girls relaxed and played some Chutes & Ladders (the game that never ends lol) then I ran out to make some returns and when I got home my nephew was over (we were watching him overnight) - we loaded up all 4 kids and took them to Chuck E Cheese since again, the weather was miserable. Surprisingly it wasn't that busy and the kids  had a BALL!

We went home and made some pizzas and watched Despicable Me 3 and my Mom came over for a while. Then we played some more board games then it was time for bed. I was thinking they would never go to sleep but eventually they did.

Sunday morning was lazy, we made pancakes and bacon and chilled for a while. I got some motivation and worked out then took Brayden to a birthday party. The rest of the night was spent hanging out at home, staying warm

Friday Favorites {4.13.18}

Happy Friday the 13th!! Let's hope it doesn't bring any bad luck or scary happenings to us, mmmmkkay?!

I had my weeks all messed up this week! I thought Thursday (yesterday) was our Girl Chat link up but realized Wednesday that was wrong so I had no posts this week other than my weekly recap on Monday. #whoops

Anyway, it's been a real good week around here and we were even blessed with a 70 degree day yesterday! Nevermind the weather calls for snow and 30's on Sunday

Weekly Recap {4.9.18}

Happy Monday! The weekend of course went way too fast and I was left with wanting just one more day. #alwaysthecase

Our week was pretty low key which was nice because the weather here was FREEZING. It snowed some days and was just bitter cold.

Ella had a date with her Daddy and after dinner he took her for ice cream. She was so cute this day - she changed into a fancy red dress (the one she wore for Christmas lol) and wore her fancy shoes and had her coat on for an hour before he got home to take her. She was just a little excited :)

Ella is now in charge of putting the new month on our whiteboard calendar :)

The kids all got umbrellas for Easter and the girls were so excited to use them while it was drizzling one day (then they proceeded to use them every day after on our way to school even without any rain)

This girl loves her pup!

Thursday was when Ella got her boot and the office was right across from the mall - the girls begged to go play at the play area and since we were given the clear for Ella to do whatever as long as she was wearing it, we went :)

Friday I had a mani/pedi appt and Miss A had to join - I was a little nervous how she would do but overall she did great - then I promised her a little mani/pedi of her own so that's what we did in the afternoon

Friday I went out 2 of my girlfriends and we had a blast - so much laughing was going on which is so good for the soul! I wish we could do this more often, these girls are so fun

Saturday was dance class, baseball practice, Brayden had a birthday party then we had our friends with their kids over to hang out. It was a fun night until I woke up at midnight to Ella having terrible croup cough. I immediately ran into her room and helped her in the bathroom where she proceeded to projectile vomit all over the floor and me. She gets so worked up with the cough that she always throws up :(  I turned on the hot shower and we sat in there for a while then I brought her in our room to sleep with her humidifier for the rest of the night. She woke up totally fine but my gosh that croup can be so scary.

Sunday was spent relaxing - we went out to breakfast and that was pretty much the highlight of our day. We were lazy and it was awesome.

Friday Favorites {4.6.18}

The first week back into our normal routine and I'm exhausted, ha! This is going to be short and sweet 😜

{ONE}

So this isn't really a favorite - Ella dropped my in laws heavy bar stool on her toes on Easter and we thought it would be ok but brought her in to the dr Monday anyway to check. They sent us for an x-ray and confirmed there was a tiny fracture in her big toe. We needed to get her a boot to keep it in place so we got that yesterday and I couldn't help but think she was the cutest little boot wearing girl I've ever seen!!!

{TWO}

I am having so much fun with my new FB group!! If you haven't joined already, you can here! And add any friends that would enjoy it, I would so appreciate that!!

{THREE}

The weather has been CRAZY around here lately and the memes are just so good

So I'm sharing this now in hopes it will soon become a favorite - I just ordered a bunch of skincare by No7 -has anyone used this? I hear AMAZING things and the price points are really good, plus Ulta has BOGO 40% so it was a no brainer to jump on it and give it a try! You can see all the products here but I went with the protect & perfect line - I hope I can share this again in a few weeks with some actual awesome results!

I think we have finally found our vacation spot for later this year! We are taking a family trip to celebrate our 10yr anniversary and I'm pretty sure it will be Anna Maria Island. My BIL & SIL just got back and it sounds amazing! I've been looking it up non stop and I just love the idea of a laid back little island with great beaches, great food and *hopefully* good weather! We're looking at staying at the Mainsail Beach Inn and even though it's a little more than I want to spend, it looks perfect for us. A little bit of everything. Oh, and another cool fact is you can rent golf carts and cruise the town that way, sounds so fun!!

Can I just be here now?!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm having a girls night tonight so that should be fun, followed by dance class, baseball practice, birthday parties and possibly Brayden's first game if the weather want's to be above 40 degrees Sunday :)

Legoland Visit

We are so lucky to live in a town with tons to do - one of those things being Legoland!! I know some people have to travel to one, but ours is just 10 minutes away! We knew heading there for a visit was the perfect thing to beat the frigid temps we've been having.

When you first walk in to Legoland (at least at ours) there are TONS of awesome displays. Lots were themed around Chicago and they were so cool to see!!

Once actually entering, we headed to the indoor ride which the kids loved! It reminded me a little of Buzz Lightyear in Disney if anyone has been on that - you sit in a car, wear 3d glasses and try to shoot bad guys as you move through.

After the ride, we went to one of the three movies playing - it was Ninjago and the kids loved it! And then we saw a real Ninjago!!

We spent lots more time playing, building, seeing another movie and riding the other indoor ride several times.  We spent a good 3 hours there and the kids still weren't ready to leave (but they were closing so we had no choice)

If you have a Legoland near you or will be by one, you should totally check it out! Hours and hours of fun!!!

*thank you so much Legoland for hosting our family, we will definitely be back!
