Weekly Recap - Birthday Edition {6.5.17}

Happy Monday! We are coming off a gorgeous week of good weather and it seems like that's only going to continue!

Before I got to my birthday weekend, here's a look back at our week

We had 2 baseball games back to back nights which was kind of alot but they were fun. Miss A keeps me on my toes the entire time by trying to run away from me when all I want to do is watch the game - oh well, I'll be able to sit and watch soon enough I'm sure!

Brayden had a Fun Run at his school so I went and ran with him and it was not easy! This Mama made it one lap then I stayed to volunteer with it. The kids averaged 3-4 laps.

Thursday was Brayden's last day of school! I did a side by side and can't believe how much he has grown this year!!

Of course he needed a picture with Max :)

While Brayden was at school we played outside for most of the day and actually spent a good amount of time in the sandbox. The girls were loving digging little rivers and pools and pouring water in. We were all nice and messy when we were done :)

We also took Ella out on her bike because girlfriend can ride with no training wheels!!!!!!! She is 2 years ahead of her brother (who really just started this year doing it) I always say it, but it's crazy how different they are

Also, I think it's time for a new bike, she looks so big on it LOL

During Avery's nap me and the hubs (who was off work) had a drink while we watched Ella play.

Then it was time for ice cream when Brayden got home!!!!!!! I can't believe he's done with 1st grade, that seriously flew!

We went on a family bike ride (well I walked with the dog) - I can't believe 2/3 of my kids are riding their bikes with no training wheels!

Miss A being cute in my heels :)

Friday Rick was off again and it was so nice so we headed to his parents house to swim.

Friday was our big overnight date so we dropped the kids back at my in laws around 4 and headed out. We got to our hotel and Rick had booked a suite which was a super nice room that also had a balcony WITH a hot tub on it! It was pretty awesome :)  We had a drink and I got ready then we went out. Our first stop was at an Irish pub for a beer then we headed to a Mexican place for dinner outside. It was so nice

After dinner we walked around then headed to a bar where we played darts and I felt 18 again (well 21 I guess, shhh let's not talk about my fake id days LOL)

We were nice and buzzed and I had Rick take some selfies by the river

We headed back to the room by 10 and of course took advantage of the hot tub and the gorgeous night!!

This was our view :)

We woke up at 7:30 which was awesome and went down for breakfast. Then we walked to Starbucks and enjoyed the morning outside before heading back to the hotel and getting ready to leave. I was excited to see the kiddos but sad to miss our little oasis, it was so nice!

Saturday afternoon Brayden had a game and they all played awesome then we came home and hung around the backyard for a while.

Sunday was my actual birthday so we had a yummy breakfast and my birthday cake consisted of delicious donuts. The kids loved singing and blowing out my candles :)

Later in the morning we went swimming again at my in laws (it's so nice to live right by them!) then me and Ella went to my nieces' recital.

I'm pretty exhausted from a long weekend but it was such a good one!!

xo,
Lizzie

  5. What an AMAZING birthday weekend friend. Looks like you had a pretty great week too. Emily also rode without training wheels YEARS earlier than her sister. I think its a monkey see, monkey do thing. That and the younger children just seem so much crazier, lololol.

  7. What a great birthday weekend and fun week you all had! How fun you guys will be able to get in so much swimming time. It looks like the weather was perfect for you guys and how awesome is that suite with the hot tube! Ha! I had to laugh at your fake ID comment because I remember getting mine taken away on the first night of our spring break trip in Cali. It worked every where else and then they took it in 2 seconds. Happy belated birthday mama! <3 Beautifully Candid

  10. What a great week! Whoa, Brayden grew like crazy this school year. He almost doesn’t even look like the same kid. Mason grew a ton this year, too. When I marked his height on the door the other day my jaw fell open and remained there for a solid couple of minutes! How? Time needs to slow down. Way to go Ella! That’s awesome. It sounds (and looks) like you two had the best time on your date. You guys are precious and I love the selfies. Hope you had the best birthday!!
