Friday Favorites {1.31.20}

Well here we are, the last day of the month that seemed to be never ending! I don't know why this month has felt so long, but it has and I'm ready to see it go!


{ONE}

I am obsessed with these Whisps!! it's so bad, I could eat the whole bag in one sitting (which isn't hard to do!)




{TWO}

with the big game on Sunday, these would be so cute to make!!

{THREE}

I saw this self tanner went on a big price drop and grabbed it! does anyone use this?? I hope I like it!

{FOUR}

I didn't get around to do a weekend recap, but we saw Disney on Ice last week (me and the girls, my sister and nephew) and it was definitely a favorite!! The kids' faces were lit up the entire time which made it that much more amazing!!!

{FIVE}


After watching You, I decided to go back and watch Dexter.  I can't believe I never watched this! I'm almost to season 7 (jeez there are alot of episodes!!) and I think I cringe every time I watch waiting for him to get caught! definitely been a favorite of mine lately!





That's a wrap - our weekend should be a fun one! We have a Girl Scout field trip later today, kids' basketball games tomorrow, as well as a Mommy/Daddy night out, and Sunday Super Bowl with friends!! Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Friday Favorites {1.23.20}

Woohoo, here we are, another Friday!! We have a fun night planned - I'm taking the girls to Disney on Ice and Rick & Brayden are doing a dad/son night. the weather is going to be awful though so that won't be fun - mix of snow/rain. I would much rather just have snow!

On to the favorites of the week:

{ONE}

I ordered this top last week and am loving it!! Its super soft and since I'm a shorty I can easily wear with leggings too! it's still part of a 40% off promo so go get it!!



{TWO}

I'm trying to eat low-er carb in an effort to drop some holiday lbs that are still hanging around. I have never been one to truly diet, but I do know the one time I did lowish carbs I lost some weight. Anyway, I'm on the hunt for tons of yummy low carb recipes - I made this one this week and it was delish! - if you have any good low carb dishes, send my way please!!

{THREE} 

It was snowing all day yesterday and I was stuck at home with a plumber replacing our pressure tank - we had no water for several hours so there wasn't much I could do (laundry, dishes, etc) so I just binged some Dexter and worked in my group - this was the scene out the window, it was so pretty! (although I can't wait to get back into our pool this summer!)




{FOUR}

We are patiently waiting for the Ice Castles to open so we can go check them out! they are in the next state but it's a short drive so we'll do it on the weekend - has anyone ever been??





{FIVE}

I saw this meme floating around and laughed out loud - for some reason January is really feeling long this time around!!

Friday Favorites {1.17.20}

Another week has flown by! Seriously, where are these weeks going!? anyway, we are leaving early today for a ski weekend with some friends and I can't wait! It's even suppose to snow so that will make it that much better! I've only been on skis twice, and the kids once, but we're all taking lessons (except Rick, he's good at everything)

I rounded up my favorites of the week:

{ONE}

I ordered this coat since it's a knock off version of the more expensive Amazon one (how funny there are knock offs of Amazon) - anyway, it's SO GOOD! and perfect for Chicago weather which is just now starting to drop and be FREEZING! It comes in other colors too but I'm happy with the grey!

{TWO}

I bought these knot headbands this week and love them!! such an easy way to make any outfit a little extra! I also found this bin that holds them perfectly!



{THREE}

I'm really trying to eat better and also low-ish carbs - I can't commit to something completely like Keto or crazy low carb, but I do know if I cut carbs, I will lose weight. It's the only thing that has ever worked for me. I just need to drop 5 holiday pounds and if I can do that, it will be a miracle because I love food and wine so much. Anyway, I made this recipe recently and it was a huge hit! The hubs ate it on a bun but I just loaded mine with cheese, jalapenos, ketchup & mustard and paired it with zoodles from Trader Joes - soooo yummy!!

{FOUR}

I mentioned we are going skiing this weekend and last time we went, none of has goggles so I decided to order some for this trip - I was so happy to see this 3pk for a great price! perfect for the kiddos then I ordered Rick & myself some cheap ones too 

{FIVE}

I'm off to get last minute things together for our little getaway - here's to hoping I don't break anything while skiing - not sure learning to ski at my age is the best idea - maybe I'll just hang out in the chalet drinking wine and people watch😂😂

Friday Favorites - 1.10.20

Happy Friday! Are Friday Favorites still a thing in blogland? It's been a while but I'm back with my favorites for the week! Today I'm sharing 5 shows I am LOVING

{ONE} You

I think everyone is as obsessed with this show as me - it is SO GOOD! I binged the entire 2nd season in 2 days over winter break. I think I probably negated too many of my Mom/Wife duties during that time, but I didn't care, it was that good.

{TWO} Don't F**K with Cats

OMG....after I finished You, I heard I should check this out on Netflix. So messed up! At first, I wasn't so sure, but as soon as the first episode ended, I was in.



{THREE} Single Parents

This has been a favorite of mine since it debuted. The cast is so funny and I am just waiting for Will & Angie to get together!!





{FOUR} Last Man Standing

I was so sad when this show ended but then so happy when Fox picked it back up!!! So so funny!!!

{FIVE} Mom

This is another I have watched from the beginning. It's changed a little over time, but my gosh is it funny!! At the same time, it's really heartfelt most of the time too

Friday Favorites {11.2.18}

And just like that, it's November! It feels so weird to say that! I want these next 2 months to go as slow as possible because we always have so much fun and I want to soak it all in!


{ONE}

{TWO}

Who else is super excited for all the cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies!?!! My hand is raised super high! There are 22 new movies coming out and you know my DVR is set!

{THREE}

Halloween came and went and it was another one for the books! I was able to volunteer at Avery's preschool in the morning then went to Brayden's party in the afternoon. At our school, 3rd grade is the last year for parties so I asked Brayden which one he wanted me to attend for the year and he chose Halloween. These are the times I wish I could be in 2 places at once because I soooo missed seeing Ella having fun at her party! I'll be volunteering at her Valentine's party so it will even out but still - after school we waited for Rick to get home and headed out for trick or treating! This year it actually wasn't freezing so we enjoyed hours of trick or treating!

Earlier in the week I was able to score these Adidas for $39!! I've been eyeing these forever so I was ecstatic to get this deal! (the deal is over now, boo)

{FIVE}

A new favorite brand I found is called Maison Jules - it is SO reasonably priced!! I picked up this sweater for $15 and was able to do site to store for free! There are lots of other colors too!!

Friday Favorites {9.28.18}

How in the world is it Friday already!? This week FLEW by! I had and still have a million things to do but I am welcoming this weekend, even if it's going to be a crazy one!

Here's some favorites for today, it's short and sweet because I'm off to volunteer for a few hours at the big kids school while Avery is at preschool.

I picked this candle up the other week at Bath & Body Works and I'm obsessed! I must have smelled all the candles in the store 50 times, then by the end couldn't remember which one smelled the best. I'm glad I went with this one!

The other day me and Miss A were at the dollar store and I saw these eye masks and remembered Ella had said she wanted one, so I grabbed them for both girls and let me say it's the best $2 spent! Just the cuteness alone is killing me but the fact that Ella slept an hour and half later while wearing it is EVERYTHING! Could it have been this easy all this time?!?!

Friday Favorites {9.21.18}

Hey hey, it's the weekend!! I am so excited for this one because I think it's the one where our temps will finally drop a little. Yes, I'm complaining about the 90 degree weather we've been having because once September hits, I'm over it. My perfect temp is 65 and sunny but I'll take anything under 90 at this point

{ONE}

Me and this guy celebrated 10 years married this Wednesday! We went all wild and crazy and took the kids to our local pizza place that finally reopened after having a fire last year. It was cool to see it all re-done and of course the pizza is delish! Then it was home to watch our wedding video which the kids lasted a whole 10 minutes and we ended the night falling asleep on the couch to Ozark #wereold #andtired #wishistilllookedthisyoung





{TWO}

Thank you for all the comments on my coffee talk post from Tuesday.  We are still deciding what to do (talk about last minute!!) as the place we originally planned for took a turn for the better the past 2 days - if that continues we will keep our original plans, otherwise, we'll be scrambling literally 2 days before to where we're going, but at least now I have a pretty good idea of where that will be.

Yesterday was our Girl Chat linkup and we talked all about Fall Bucket Lists - if you missed it, you can read mine here - lots of good stuff going on this season!

{FOUR}

Target had their 40% off Halloween costumes this week so I was able to grab Brayden & Avery's - Ella is being Peppa Pig so instead of buying the costume (it comes with an actual pig head to put over your head) we are just getting her a red dress, pig ears & tail and we'll make her look as close as she can.

Avery chose to be this witch cat and she is going to be ADORABLE!!!

Brayden wasn't sure what he wanted but he had said Black Panther for several months so I ordered it figuring I could return if he didn't like, but he loved it!











I really like being on top of costumes rather than waiting until last minute - it's just one more thing out of the way so I can focus on other stuff!


{FIVE}

I made this recipe this week to have for lunch and oh my gosh, it is SO GOOD!! It was super easy and of course I substituted greek yogurt for the sour cream - seriously, if you're looking for a semi-healthy side dish, try this! I paired it with some chicken sausage and it's been my favorite this week!

Friday Favorites {9.14.18}

Happy Friday!! Today is going to be a great day because I get to run a bunch of errands by myself!! Haha it's the little things people.

We've had a great week but I think we are all ready for the weekend. With everyone in activities I am flat out exhausted by the end of the week!


Anyway, here's some Friday Favorites!!

{ONE} -

Taylor Swift here we come baby!!! This Saturday we are driving to Indy to see Miss Swift in concert and I couldn't be more excited! It's all girls and I'm bringing Ella, my SIL is bringing my 2 nieces, my other 2 SIL's are going and one of their friend - it's going to be a BLAST!! We had shirts made and I can't wait to wear them! Adults are wearing Rep and the little girls the other - so cute right!?!?!

{TWO}

Who has seen this mug floating around the internet? OMG I need this, my Mom needs this, just about anyone know loves Hallmark Christmas movies needs this!!!

{THREE} 

This cutie patootie starting tap dance this week and it seriously was the cutest thing!! She has a really good teacher so I'm hoping there will be lots of progress this year :)

{FOUR} 

I've mentioned before how Ella is our little artist - she is always drawing! The other day I saw she "decorated" our wall and she was so proud so 5 days later, it's still there. I can't bring myself to take them down, I just love it!

{FIVE]

Friday Favorites {9.7.18}

Oooo I'm so excited it's Friday!! I got sick mid week and that has made the week draaag. But hopefully I'm on the up and up and just in time to enjoy our weekend!

Let's get to some Friday Favorites!

{ONE}

This adorable little girl had her first day of preschool this week and she couldn't have been more excited! Literally I had to run after her for a hug & kiss!

{TWO}

On that same day, my sweet Ella Bella turned 6!! I cannot believe my baby girl is 6, that's just crazy! She wanted breakfast in bed just like Brayden so that's what she had.  It had to be quick though because it was a school day!




{THREE} 

I ordered this new bra and it's more than I would normally spend but I'm so tired of having tons of $20 something crappy bras - here's to hoping this one is great! Also it's on sale!

{FOUR}

I ordered these KIND Protein bars on Prime Day because they were an amazing price and they are now my go to quick breakfast! Have you tried them? YUM!!!

Now that pumpkin season is upon us, I can't wait to start baking! I bake more this time of year (well other than Christmas) and I really want to try this recipe!

Friday Favorites {8.31.18}

Happy Friday Friends! Phew, we are week 2 and 1 with the bigs and getting back into a schedule has been good but also a little rough - I was totally enjoying those slow summer mornings! But back to a routine is just what I want/need right now.

{ONE}

Ella had her first day of all day Kindergarten on Monday and my gosh was she excited!! I wanted to be sad letting her go but how could I when she was so darn happy!? I sent her off with a big hug and she didn't look back! She has been LOVING it all week!

{TWO}

Everyone knows finding a deal is my jam so when I saw Natives were on sale at Nordstrom I jumped on it! I know there are plenty of other knock offs but I do love this brand and they hold up SO WELL!

{THREE} 

OMG I posted this in my FB group, but had to share here too!! I ordered this for Ella and it is the CUTEST!!!

I saw this online and just thought it was so cute!! Growing up we always did the "see ya later alligator" "in a while crocodile!" I want to start saying some of these to my kids!

OMG did you see this?!!? Aldi is having advent wine & cheese calendars this year!! I remember seeing this last year but it was only in another country, I am so excited and will definitely be getting myself one of each!! #merrychristmastomama
