I thought it would be fun to do a little random about me post -it's been a while since I've shared some of my quirks :)
I am 32 (yikes that sounds kind of old)
I live in the suburbs of Chicago
I have 3 small children; Brayden (6) Ella (4) Avery (2)
I have been married 8 years
My husband I dated in high school when I was 14 and he was 16
We broke up when I became a senior because I wanted to have fun with my friends (so selfish but that was a good thing!)
We reconnected when I was 20 through a very random/crazy way (I'll spare the details) and we knew right away we were in this for the long haul
I worked full time until my youngest was born. Now I stay home and LOVE it so much
I love to do anything craft related
Planning parties is a favorite too
I am obsessed with watching Dateline and I don't think I'll ever let my kids leave the house alone
I love funny/romantic movies the best but scary ones are right up there, I just usually don't watch those because my husband won't and I don't like to watch them alone
I can eat like a (large) man if I let myself
I am a terrible housewife - I do the laundry and let it sit in the baskets for days, I don't clean as much as I probably should
There you go, a few more fun facts about me!

getting to know me.
I thought it would be fun to do a post about 20 totally random things about little old me. Here we go - enjoy!
1. I am obsessed with my little family, ask anyone, OBSESSED I tell ya
I'm sure there are plenty of more weird things about myself I could share, but I'll stop there so I still have a few readers left :)
1. I am obsessed with my little family, ask anyone, OBSESSED I tell ya
2. I am scared to death of flying but will still do it - I have now made my husband scared to death too #gome
3. I have 1 sibling, a sister, Jenn - she blogs over at It's a wonder
4. I like to "collect" new clothes/shoes/jewelry. I buy things that I really want, but never want to wear them. I'm not really sure why, but I like looking at them in my closet and never feel like "wasting" an outfit by wearing them. So weird, I know.
5. When I was younger (I mean real young) my friends and I would collect change from the ground at the tollbooth - #weweresocool
6. I use to smoke - and I loved it. Then I quite before I got pregnant with my son. Sometimes I can't even believe I use to smoke, seems like it never happened.
7. I'm very competitive, always have been
8. I'm very emotional, always have been and having kids has put it into overdrive
9. I have small feet, like size 5 1/2 small
10. I never wanted to be a SAHM before having kids, but of course having them changes everything and now it's my favorite "job" to date
11. I love day drinking
12. I hate working out, I do it to stay healthy and fit, but I despise it.
13. I love coffee and need 3 cups a day to function, even then I'm still tired. I could drink coffee at 9pm and go to bed at 9:15pm; it has no effect over me.
14. When I was little, I was obsessed with the movie Monkey Trouble and tried to convince my mom for several years that I needed a capuchin monkey
15. I went through a super awkward phase in jr high and wore jnco jeans, you know, these ones

What the heck was I thinking...
16. I'm not into material things, Yes they are nice, and once in a while I buy myself something, but I can go without and brand names mean nothing to me.
17. Going with above, I love a good deal. I search and search for the best deals, always, and have saved a ton of money by doing so.
18. I don't like to use the first of things - first squirt of toothpaste, ketchup, mustard, ect. Basically anything that comes out of a cap, I always have to squirt some out first, then use it.
19. I don't have any tattoos and never wanted one, but now am thinking about getting something small with my kids initials
20. I love to eat. My sister use to make fun of me all of the time {still does :) } when were little because we would go to a hot dog place and I would order a hot dog, fries, a bowl of chili and a tamale, and eat it all and still want more. I was also that weird kid at the pool in the summer ordering a bowl of chili while everyone else was eating ice cream and Popsicles. I love chili {obviously}
I'm sure there are plenty of more weird things about myself I could share, but I'll stop there so I still have a few readers left :)

Who Am I???
I'm linking up over at From Mrs to Mama today to show who I am...... this is my very first link up! Enjoy!
I am wife to an incredible guy. We met when I was 14 and dated in high school then had a break, then re-connected. I am so thankful that he randomly came back into my life. He is an amazing Daddy, Our children are so lucky to have him. I cherish my marriage and hope and pray that no matter what, we will make it through anything.
I love being a Mother more than anything in the world. I didn’t grow up daydreaming about getting married or having kids, yet I have done both, and kind of at a young age. My kids have changed my life 100%. They have made me a better person and really have shown me what life is all about. I absolutely love seeing life through their eyes. I sometimes just catch them doing something so simple, putting a puzzle together, playing with a play phone, and the tears just start streaming down. It’s in those moments I am watching life that I (with the hubby) created and it is a feeling that I can’t even put into words, simply amazing
I am obsessed with taking pictures of my kids. I’m sure it’s annoying to some, but I will never regret having tons of pictures of what makes me the happiest.
I am getting pretty tired of social media…except blogging. Is that social media? I’ve never been a tweeter or an instagramer, but Facebook is becoming more of a nuisance lately. I’m OK with blogging and Pinterest J
I hate that I have to work full time and be away from my kids – it literally breaks my heart on a daily basis. One day soon, I hope to be home with them.
I love going to the movies, I think it’s mostly for the popcorn and the cherry coke (only time I drink pop!), but none the less, still love it.
I love to hang out at home. Since getting married, having kids, buying a house, I have really become a homebody. I don’t know if it’s because I’m too tired to do anything else but a perfect day would be relaxing at home, playing in the backyard, BBQ’ing.
I have little no patience. This is something I struggle with on a daily basis. I can say however, that since having kids, it has gotten better, but I can also say without a doubt that I still have tons of room for improvement…this will forever be a work in progress.
