Weekly Recap {9.4.18}

Phew we are coming off a super fun & busy weekend and I really could use another day to get our life more organized for the week! But anyway, let's recap our week!!

Ella had her first day of Kindergarten and it went awesome! She was so so excited and has been loving it ever since. Let's hope this continues always!

I took Avery on a play date with some friends at a local splash pad and girlfriend had the best time!

Ella had her first t-ball gamed and she did so great!!! It was a blast watching her!

Avery has actually been having lots of fun playing school and learning at home with me, maybe it's because she has no one else to bother now that the bigs are in school haha

Avery had her 4yr well visit and looks great - she was so cute getting her blood pressure taken!

Brayden set up a target game and even wrote out each character he set up with a point range and we played until all were knocked over then tallied the scores - he won by 10pts!!! It was so fun having some one on one with him

Saturday night we had a wedding on Ricks side so it was fun to get dressed up and have a few drinks and dance!

Sunday we took the kids to our towns fest to ride the rides and play some games. It was HOT but we had so much fun!!

Later in the day we went to my cousins baby's 1st birthday party. It was nice to see my extended family!

Monday was the parade! The weather looked iffy but it turned out to be gorgeous and again, so HOT! I don't really love parades but this one, I do! It's so much fun watching the kids having a blast collecting as much candy as they possibly can!

The rest of Monday was spent at a friends BBQ then the weather turned awful. Lightning/Thunder and pouring.  We came home and relaxed before it was bedtime for the kids.  I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend!!

Labor Day 2016 Recap

I'm just now getting to our Labor Day weekend recap - I didn't have it in me to put together this post yesterday.

We had gorgeous weather all weekend which was awesome.  Saturday started with Rick taking Brayden fishing first thing in the morning.  When they got back, I took Brayden to a friends birthday party.  It was a pool party and a perfect day for it.

Saturday night we went on a family walk/bike ride then home to relax. Sunday I went with my mom to our annual towns fest and did the craft fair first.  We walked around for a while then Rick and the kids met up with us and it was on to rides and games! The kids had a blast and it was fun, but so so hot. And so so crowded.

It's crazy that I now have a child big enough to go on the bigger rides. Like this superman one, you lay down and it takes you up and down and all around. I wasn't sure he would go on but he did and he was all smiles the entire time.

After hours of at the fest we headed to our friends for a BBQ. They were all heading to the fest afterwards but we were just too tired. We took the kids to swim for a while at my in laws then it was home for a movie and bed.

Monday was Ella's birthday! My sweet girl turned 4 which I still can't believe! We started her day with donuts then it was off to the annual Labor Day parade.  We can walk there which is so nice! Rick put down blankets the night before to secure our spot and our friends/family met up at our house and we headed there around 9:30.  Of course as soon as we get there Ella tells me she has to poop. Kids, they have the best timing don't they? So back to the house we went and got back in time to enjoy the parade.  It was a hot day and Ella was kind of tired at the parade but Brayden and Avery were really into it!

all she wanted was a pogo stick - she hasn't put it down since

After the parade we went to my inlaws for a BBQ and more swimming.  Then it was home for family nap time.  We ended our night with Ella's favorite dinner (which she picked spaghetti and meatballs which she has never said was her favorite so kind of funny she picked that) and cake.

It was a relaxing night of baths and showers and then time for bed.  Ella started preschool Tuesday so it was a big day for her (spoiler: she didn't even cry!) I'll be recapping that day tomorrow :)

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend is one of my favorite long weekends.  Our town has it's annual carnival/fest followed with a parade on Labor Day Monday.

Saturday morning we headed to the fest with my Mom and met my in laws and BIL & SIL and nieces.  All the kiddos were so excited for the rides and games!

I love this pic, Ella Bella is part of the little kid crew now and she just idolizes her older cousins!

My FIL won the basketball game, which is like impossible to win!

These kids just make my heart happy seeing them have so much fun! I think this was one of Brayden's favorite rides, he was all smiles the entire time

Ella won herself a Dora :)

How cute is she!?!?!?

Brayden is seriously so good at the dart throwing game, it amazes us every time!

Poor Ella couldn't go on most of the rides because she was too short so Daddy had to zoom her through the air to make up for it :)

She did get to go on the carousel and despite her face, she loved it.

I snapped this pic right before the ride started - I took them on the Tilt A Whil - all I can say is O.M.G. - it's basically a saucer cup that spins around and around, but it spins so damn fast that you literally feel like you're going to fly off the little track it's on.  My niece was so scared throughout and Ella just sat there motionless, ha.  I was screaming my little head off.  I don't do rides so well anymore!

Later Saturday the hubs and I got our first date night since having Avery - we went to a new place called the Beer Market and sampled some beers and ate some yummy apps.  It was a quick one, but still a fun date night.

My handsome guy :)

This was Sunday morning - "Mom can I eat cheese its and watch Lilo & Stitch?" Sure, why not kid.

Sunday morning on our way to the parade!! Can I just say again how much I love living within walking distance to this parade?! It makes my whole year (well, almost)

Little Miss is finally big enough to enjoy the parade and she had a ball!

Avery's first parade! It was raining for most of the parade, but thankfully it was just a drizzle and no lighting or thunder :)

The best part of the parade, collecting all the candy they throw at you!!

This was Ella when it was time to go - standard Ella :)

Later we headed to a friends house for a BBQ and when the hubs put Ella in the car she immediately ran to the front and "started" to drive - she's so silly!

Another successful Labor Day weekend in the books!
