Ella & Avery's Preschool Graduations

Happy Monday! Instead of my usual weekly recap, I want to make sure I give my girls' preschool graduations their own post. Last week was filled with so much cuteness and even a few tears by yours truly, but at the end of the week I officially have a Kindergartner and a 4yr old preschooler. Time, I beg you to please slow down!

Ella was the first to have her graduation - she graduated Pre-K on Wednesday and I was glad that her grandparents and Rick were able to make it since it was a big day for her!

They sang so many adorable songs then had a little ceremony. Ella was her usual self, directly the other kids where to go, when to sing, etc and it had us all giggling.

Afterwards we had some snacks and refreshments and took lots of pics! I was a little emotional that morning because it's crazy to me that my 4lb baby girl is now going to Kindergarten. I already said this but I am going to miss her so darn much!

After her ceremony we took the girls to the park for a while then my Mom took them out for McDonalds - they had a blast!

The next day was Avery's little graduation of 3yr preschool. Unfortunately only my FIL could join us since everyone came the day before for Ella but I know they will all be there for Avery next year!!

They also sang a bunch of cute songs and I couldn't stop smiling! Avery was just the cutest up there and singing SO LOUD! She put on quite the show! Afterwards it was the same deal, drinks and snacks then the girls wanted to go the park again so we did. We also celebrated more at home with ice cream cones outside (we had some gorgeous weather last week!)

These 2 days were so special and bittersweet. Now next year at this time, I'm going to need someone to hold me because I'll be crying like a baby, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves, we still have so much time together to have fun!

Ella & Avery's School Holiday Performances 2017

Well hello there blog-land! Unintentionally I took a really long break from my little space, I guess that's what happens when the hubby is home from work and you are just enjoying time with your family. We have been having the best Winter Break so far with Christmas being very fun and magical! I will have to recap Christmas next week but for now I need to share about my girls' holiday performances! They were sooooo cute!

Avery's was first, on Tuesday and Ella's was the next day. They sing the same songs since they are in the same preschool (different days and ages though) and they combine the 3's & 4's to sing together.

Avery actually was a little nervous when she first came out with her class and tried to cling to me but she quickly got in her spot. I was totally not expecting that from her! She was so cute singing her songs and after each one she would come to where I was sitting thinking it was over, only for her teachers to bring her back to sing the next song :)

Papa came!

When it was Ella's turn, she came out and was acting a little bashful but she went on to sing her little heart out and it was the sweetest thing ever

I love watching these little performances, my heart fills with so much joy!!!

Have a great weekend & have a safe & happy New Years!!!

Ella's First Day of Pre-K

And now it's the middles time to get talked about!

Ella started her first day of Pre-K the Wednesday after Labor Day - she goes 3 days a week for a few hours.

At first I thought she was going to be nervous to go because her bestie from last year didn't get in the same class as her but surprisingly she did great the first day! She woke up SO excited to go!

We went outside to take the obligatory first day of school pics and it was probably a little too chilly out to be wearing a dress, but she looked adorable nonetheless!

In my head I had it that school started at 9 (that's when it starts for Avery and I swore I looked the night before for Ella and it said 9) - but really it was 8:45 so poor girl was late on her first day! Thankfully no one really cared and it was only by a few minutes since I always try to be early.

She walked right in and did her morning routine and gave me the biggest hug and kiss and walked in (much different than her spunky little sister!)

When we picked her up she couldn't stop talking about how much fun she had! She even drew me several pictures during her morning there.

Since Ella's birthday was actually before school started, they celebrated the following Monday. I was so excited to be able to go to her class to help sing and celebrate her! I think she was equally as excited because she wouldn't let go of me for the longest time :)

Everything has been going great with Ella, although we do have some days where she cries when I drop her off, which of course makes my Mama heart so sad, but I know as soon as she gets in she stops, so that is comforting.

I'm wishing my girl the best year!!

Avery's First Day of 3yr Preschool

I thought about combining the girls first day together in one post then I thought, well that isn't fair and they should each get their own. So you'll get 2 doses of cuteness this week!!

<But first - I'm being featured over at Johannah's blog today, head over there if you want to read a little bit about me :) >

Avery was the first to start preschool because she goes Tues/Thurs and her first day was the day after Labor Day.

Girlfriend was SO excited to go! I knew she would be my kid who had no attachment issues, what I didn't know is how sad that would make me feel!

We got up that day and had our normal routine (Brayden had already been in school for a week at this point) We went outside for the official "first day of school" pics and then we were off

Once we got to school Avery was SO excited to do her routine of pushing the handicap door button and then proceeding to wash her hands in the bathroom. She knew all of this from taking big sis last year.

Brayden was home sick this day with strep throat so he got to come with to drop her off

We then waited for her teachers to open the door and once they did, Avery walked right in! Literally, she didn't even stop to say bye to me (or her siblings) and when I was yelling her name to say bye she WOULDN'T EVEN TURN AROUND TO LOOK AT ME! This kid, I swear. I stood there a little in shock that she wouldn't even say bye to me and then I got a little sad. But that was it, we left and I knew she would be fine which is a welcomed feeling since the other 2 had some separation issues.

When we picked her up she was grinning ear to ear! I knew she had alot of fun (and I'm sure gave her teachers a run for their money, haha)

I can't believe my BABY is in preschool - it's still a hard pill to swallow, but I know this  year is going to be great for her!

Ella's 3yr Preschool Graudation

Well it's over, another child of mine has completed 3yr old preschool and is that much closer to leaving me to go to school all day

Ella has grown so much this past year, it's crazy when I really think about. She has become such a good friend, a great student, and a great role model. Although I can't say getting to school every time was easy, most of the year she fought me on not wanting to get dressed, not wanting to get her shoes on, not wanting to go, but then would be happy once we got there. Our Ella is a homebody and would rather stay home than do pretty much anything.

She was really excited for her last day of school. She kept saying "I can't believe I'm almost done with 3yr old preschool!"

Of course the morning of her last day she fought me on wearing a dress, but gave in and then said how pretty it was.

We got to school and took some pics and then it was time for the little performance

I've said it before, Ella & Brayden are like night and day with these preschool performances. At this age, Brayden was hiding his face and half crying during these shows, but Ella belts it all out and loves being up there. Crazy how different they are. (I have a feeling Avery is going to be even more of a show stopper than Ella)

After a few songs the kids came up and got little diplomas and hugged their teachers. Afterwards we had cookies and juice and snapped some more pics and that was it! I cannot believe next year both girls will be in preschool!! Ella in 4's and Avery in 3's - even though they are 2 years apart, the way their birthdays fall make them only 1 grade apart in school. Craziness!!
