Thursday Thoughts

Happy Thursday! The week is once again flying! Today I get to volunteer in Miss A's class Thanksgiving party and I'm super excited!


I haven't written down some thoughts on Thursday in a while so here we go


*Why does it seem like things always happen at the same time? I just found out my car needs new struts (which are so dang expensive), our furnace just had some issues and I somehow didn't see the payment notice for our county's vehicle stickers and they sent me outrageous late fees, so yeah, when it rains, it pours I guess

*I'm actually happy Thanksgiving is earlier this year because that means I can get my Christmas decor up earlier! It's kind of hard to believe we will be going to chop our tree down next week! In a way, it doesn't seem right

*Speaking of Thanksgiving, I cannot wait for it! It's my favorite meals of the entire year!

*I'm trying really hard to finish Christmas shopping by the end of November, that way I can really enjoy December! My kids are mostly done so that's huge, but there are still lots of presents to buy.

*I want all the clothes and shoes lately, I don't know what my problem is! These moccs came in and I LOVE them, still obsessed with my new turtleneck and I'm eyeing this top in just about every color

*I think I have finally built up enough courage to cut my hair - like a real haircut of 4-5" off. I'm loving this look and it's also making me want to go really blonde!

Thursday Thoughts {6.29.17}

This week is going by pretty fast which I'm OK with because our weekend is going to be filled with non stop fun and I'm looking forward to it all!

I haven't been posting on Thursdays but since I didn't post yesterday, I decided to join in the fun. I'm linking up my girl Danielle and you should too!

Here's my ramblings for this Thursday....

//How is already July this weekend??! Like really, where the heck did June go? I feel like Brayden just got out of school and that was almost a month ago. #summerslowdown

// I seriously never really paid much attention to Instagram before, I just follow people and like stuff/comment and post some pics here and there, it's just not something I've dedicated time to before. Now I decided I want to try and grow my account (you can follow me here ) but jeez it doesn't seem like it's going to be easy - in one day I'll have numerous people follow me only to unfollow me the next day. I guess this is the stuff Lindsay was talking about in her post - (which I need to go back and take some notes on!)

//I took the girls on a date the other night to this little amusement park by our house and I'm just amazed at how many parents don't parent their kids.  There were little kids being rude left and right, pushing their way past my girls and the Moms were standing near and not doing anything about it. I politely had to keep telling these rude kids that we all have to wait our turn and no pushing please. It was ridiculous! I know I'm not perfect but if I see my kids acting like that (which these Moms did see because I was watching them watch their kids be jerks) I would correct their behavior.

// I have so much I need to get done around the house and there is just no time. My mom took the kids yesterday all day so that helped me alot in terms of going to run errands alone (hallelujah!!) but I barely got anything accomplished at home. Brayden's new desk needs to be put together, our garage needs to be cleaned out, our yard needs tending to but there's never any time.  Oh well, it will all happen one day and then we'll be wishing for these back, right?!


That's all for today - the bigs slept over at my Moms last night and are coming home later this morning then we are all heading to the arcade! Should be a fun day!

Thursday Thoughts {6.1.17}

Yesterday I thought it was Thursday which had me all excited because I thought today was Friday - how does that happen on an already shortened week!?

Anyway, here's some ramblings for you on this Thursday, not Friday, womp womp.

//Tomorrow, on the real Friday, the hubs and I are having an overnight date and I couldn't be more excited if I tried. This will be our first night away from the kids ever, so if you're good at math, that's just about 7 years since we've been alone all night/morning. We'll be celebrating my birthday and he booked us a fancy room at a historic hotel I've been wanting to go to! We'll go out to dinner, walk around town, pop into a pub, then maybe another pub, who knows, all I do know is I don't have to wrangle 3 kids for bedtime and I don't have to be woken up in the middle of the night by a sleepwalker, a crier, or a pee-er!!

//Brayden's last day of school is today and I'm not going to lie, I'm half super excited for him to be home all summer and half terrified. He's our kid who needs to be constantly entertained and he's also developed this not so fun attitude so yeah, you never know what you're going to get. I'm hoping we can all just have a fun summer and I plan to fill our days to make that happen

//I cannot stop buying the deals I share on my FB group! It's a problem for real. I tell myself, have self control but then that goes right out the window when I find a great deal and I just have to have something

//I have so many bug bites all over my legs and they are driving me crazy. They are still itching days later, that, or I just keep getting more and more. They are bad this year!

//My Mother in Law turned me onto the show Life in Pieces - I think there are new ones now but I'm on season 1 on Netflix. I hope they add the other season(s) because it is freaking hilarious!!! (not sure how many seasons of this there are) If you need something to watch, check it out!!

//Yesterday I posted some summer essentials without realizing that's our topic for this month's Girl Chat! What is wrong with me!?!? I think Summer is on my brain and I can't get my blogging sh*t together.

Ok that's enough, I'm off to make my last school day breakfast for Brayden and then make him take some last day of school pics :)

Thursday Thoughts

Happy Thursday! I'm so excited for today because I get to go on a field trip with Brayden's class. I tried to go on the past couple but haven't been picked so I am thrilled to be going today! We are heading to a space center so it should be fun!


Here's some rambling for you

//I had a Google alert set up on my phone for our flights to Disney and the other week while scrolling through my emails while laying in bed I saw an email for an alert that the price dropped. I immediately went down to our laptop and sure enough, flights were cheap! We are flying Frontier (but at least it's not Spirit) and got them for $165 a person, round trip, non stop! I thought that was pretty amazing!

//So yesterday I originally had plans to go out by my sister in laws to spend time with her and my new nephew and the girls would just hang out with us too. They live a few towns away and we would have spent the whole morning/early afternoon there I'm sure but we actually didn't end up going at all because Brayden came home on Tuesday and told me he had a half day Wednesday. There was a little reminder sent home on Monday but I didn't pay attention so really, if he wouldn't have mentioned it to me, we would have not been here when he would have gotten home. I keep thinking, like what the heck would he have done!?!? He doesn't have a phone, he doesn't have keys. I am so happy this didn't happen and now we have talked about a game plan just in case it ever does.

//Last night while I was making dinner, all 3 kids were in the backyard playing and having the best time! Part of me is loving that they are getting old enough to do this (obviously I still check on Avery like every 10 seconds) and part of me is a little sad - I'll look at the bright side and maybe this will be the first year I can get stuff done in the backyard because I don't have to monitor Avery's every single move

//I really want to watch 13 Reasons Why but I'm worried I'll get super anxious - has anyone watched? How is it? I don't really know much about it but it's all I'm hearing about lately

//Avery had 4 bathroom accidents yesterday and I have no idea why. She has been doing AMAZING at potty training and has been fully trained for months now, so I don't get this. Hoping it's just a fluke!

Ok - enough thoughts for today, I'm off to enjoy some quality time with my boy!

Thursday Thoughts & Confessions {4.6.17}

Ok this week is flyyyyyyying by. Not that I'm complaining because I am so over all this rain we've been getting. They were even calling for snow today but I think that's just turned into more rain.


Ok ok let's get to some more complaining - I mean thoughts for this Thursday

• Have I mentioned I'm over this weather? I swear the weather dictates my mood and let's just say lately I've been extra cranky
• I'm super annoyed that one of my incisions from my umbilical hernia has healed weird so there is an indent now off to the side of my stomach - best way to describe is it looks like an indent from your hip bone, which wouldn't be too bad if the actual indent from my hip bone wasn't right under it!! #doublehipbone #sonotawesome. At my follow up they said to make an appt 6 weeks out if it hasn't fixed itself (which I don't see it doing) and they can fix it in the office. 
• I am SO excited that I was able to snag every reservation I wanted to for our upcoming Disney trip! Yes, I may have set my alarm for 4:30am to be up and ready for when it opened up at 5 but hey, it was worth it!!
• My Facebook group is growing and that is making me pretty happy! I'm so appreciative to everyone who has joined and who adds their friends! My goal was to hit 1K members and I'm a little over 700. So so close!! If you want to join, you can here. Of course then I'll give myself a new goal :)
• I cannot wait until the lifting restriction is over for me - 1 more week will be 6 weeks and I think then I'll finally pick my kids up (it's been soooo hard!) I also can't wait to really work out again, I need some weights in my life
• I really want to add this double hooded sweatshirt to my life but I just cannot justify it right now
• I mentioned last week how I want to go on a vacation so badly! Since that's not going to happen for a few more months, I think we are going to go stay at a hotel one of these weekends with the kids. It's not much but it will be nice to get away for a night, not have to cook, the kids will have a blast swimming and playing at the arcade and I won't have to clean. I think more than a vaca, I just need a mental break, hopefully this does it!

Thursday Thoughts/Confessions 3.30.17

Hey there Thursday! Damn you sure came fast. We are half way over our Spring Break week but the fun will continue. Today we are heading out to hang out with my nieces at a new arcade/bowling alley. I know the kids will have a blast and I'll probably burn 1000 calories chasing Avery - seriously that girl is crazy :)


Here's some thoughts for you on this Thursday

//I really want the Iphone 7 but I'm still paying for the 6 since I was super late to the game getting that. So while it's a want, it's going to stay just that and maybe one day I'll get it, but it's not going to be any time soon, boo

//I need some new Easter decorations bad - I pulled out my bin and was like ummm I don't have much at all! Hopefully I can get to Hobby Lobby or Michaels soon!

//My house has been completely neglected this week, like bad. We've been so busy doing all the things it's just been put on the back burner. This morning I have to clean

//Our weather is super crappy and I'm over it. I would like to see the sun again and bring us back those 70 degrees too

//I just ordered this dress from Old Navy thanks to Andrea's recommendation and I can't wait to get it! Seriously give me all the florals!

//My Facebook deals page has been growing but I need it to grow even more if I want it to be even semi successful. If you haven't joined please do here and invite your friends!! I have a goal to get to 1000 members and I hope I reach it soon! There are 400 members now so really if everyone just added 2 friends I would easily get to 1000, wink wink :) (shameless plug I know) I really love finding the deals so I hope the group grows to make it all worth it :)

//Rick is the head coach of Brayden's baseball team and we are finding out just how political these things are. It's kind of crazy actually and I'm hoping we just keep the peace and stay focused on teaching the kids and having lots of fun!

//I seriously am obsessed with all the crazy murder shows on the ID channel. Seriously, it's all my DVR has on it. Pretty sure Rick sleeps with one eye open LOL
